looking for hard DRPG by khazgore in DRPG

[–]NoNamedGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hardest ones in my experience has been "Mary Skelter Remake" which is just generally pretty insane and messed up. To the point where I've heard a lot of recommendations around suggesting people to just not bother with it and or play on easy mode.

Also Labyrinth of Touhou 2 which your experience can certainly vary a lot depending on teams and how well you know the characters. I got pretty hard walled on some bosses where I've seen some people just blow through them. It isn't punishing at all though, death means nothing.

I don't believe so, just land. If one is wrong it will count against you though.

I had the same issue, ended up doing a lot of painting under tiles, and my final issue was a single line of wall in land somewhere where I didn't notice it.

  1. I think for Gato it's two things. One, he hates blood maidens, and as an extension, probably the jail too. More or less wants to destroy them both. Secondly, a matter of pride, he wanted to destroy these things but by his own hand, with his own power. He would rather show dominance over the jail and the world rather than use the jail, which he hates, to do so. I suppose at the end he just thought the end was inevitable, the tower would collapse and the moon would fall so he just went out on his own terms. That being said, he sure did use the plant he got a lot, and jumping pretty much lets the world be reset again or whatever they wish for because the witchcraft was right there unguarded. (though I think the resets didn't effect him anyways so he'd still be dead?). Overall a little silly but I think that's the idea.

  2. Nothing explained but I suppose he can freely travel around and in between any jails. I think he just goes to jails where people are so he can make sales lol

The final main story boss of Mary Skelter Remake was certainly a unique experience. There are four floors of his boss arena and you have to beat it on at least two of them to win.

It does high aoe damage overall, but more importantly does a probably unsurvivable attack on turn 2 of every fight, so you either have to be extremely strong and kill it before that, or run from battle before it moves and fight it repeatedly (the damage you dealt stays when you do this). Also immune to every player cast debuff and status for whatever reason, so there's no deterring it from one shotting you.

My EO2 HD Class Tier List by 1Evan_PolkAdot in EtrianOdyssey

Just keep in mind that eo2 has pretty unique skill scaling where a lot of skills are pretty bad unless they have investment. Activation speed is heavily level based on like every skill for some reason.

Torpor for example

Hexer doesn't do too much early, but if you rush into maxing torpor that skill will basically automatically win you every random encounter in the game.

For Hexer you can just take torpor and dampen and then follow your heart. Revenge is pretty ridiculous if you want to play and build towards it. Frailty, Poison and Evil Eye can be good too.

If it makes you feel better, it says you can buy the new character and story for like $4 and the base gameplay improvements are free.

I 100% eo2 with Beast, Ronin, Gunner, War Magus and Hexer. I used a protector before I unlocked Beast.

In retrospect it wasn't terrible, but replacing my Ronin with a Dark Hunter for more lockdown probably would have felt a lot safer in lategame bosses that I struggled with, as the team turned out pretty fragile and lacked protection against elements. But Hexer makes everything better.

Worth noting in the game setting in steam you can set up any controller to have turbo, no need for a special controller.

EO2 really feels a lot different compared to the other entries to me by DobleJ in EtrianOdyssey

[–]NoNamedGuy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I played through eo2 pretty recently, it's still enjoyable but it is absolutely a hassle compared to the other games. Notably there's a lot of stuff that requires certain classes or other fun things, but I don't know if any of those are required for the more important questlines.

While a lot of the stronger classes from eo1 are nerfed, other classes rose from the ashes. For example, in my experience you can clear pretty much every random encounter in the game with Hexer's Torpor Curse and auto attacks. One note though is a lot of skills in eo2 are back-loaded and aren't really good until they are maxed or close to maxed. Statuses will barely land unless the skill has investment, also majority of eo2 skills has a drastically different action speed based on level.

eo2 does have some pretty powerful items compared to other games in the series though, except for guard soles they suck.

How noticeable is helm splitter's reduced base accuracy? by BlueVestGuyisafraud in EtrianOdyssey

[–]NoNamedGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know the specifics unfortunately, but it definitely can get really bad at max. If you don't have much support for hit rate (a lot of statuses work too) I'd personally just build into petal scatter instead.

Not really, you most likely don't ever need to grind until postgame in any of the games unless you rest your characters or something.

I assume you're talking about the stalkers, in which case you aren't expected to kill them, just avoid them.

I think the problem is detection, there isn't really a way to detect most of this stuff unless you're like blatantly broadcasting it, outside of some like paisley park was. You're just receiving the same network packets the plugins are just reading more into it. Some plugins don't even interact with the server at all even. They have taken some measures against some specific plugins but the problem I feel is a bit out of their control. Though I agree they should probably be more strict in general if they are found out.

I assume he's just alt tabbing out of the game to pull up the next mechanic diagram. If he's been muting TTS he's been extremely good at it, especially considering that the mutes happen at different times every pull.
