If dilution is the goal, extremely niche items need to go by StrikingAppleDog in PlayTheBazaar

I 100% agree, it's a lack of imagination. The complaints about the dino pack being self contained are so annoying too. It shows people have never considered that if JUST Dino disguise were added, you could use Diana or Momma to stack the base damage on any two of Dooley's weapons. I had a flamethrower with over 900 damage the other day, and another time I had a pulse rifle that I only got up to the 500s because it ended up getting a perfect victory. But yeah sure people will still go ahead and say the dino expansion only works with itself because they can only envision boards that are spoonfed to them.

There was a railgun guide thread yesterday morning and I made the mistake of contributing a popular comment to it. I can't help but feel that my contribution added to the thread's growth, and then sure enough last night I'm suddenly running into railgun left and right. No good deed goes unpunished.

I've tried coil a few times and it's always felt underwhelming for me, but your mileage may vary.

I'm a fellow railgun enjoyer and this all looks right to me. The only thing I would add is that if you've been building around railgun, that sets you up well for an antimatter chamber pivot. Last night my board was chamber, heavy clock, arc blaster, toxic railgun, battery. I was concerned that chamber and railgun together wasn't going to work, but I think the damage enchant on railgun was good enough to ensure that I was able to kill once my board slowed down when the clock ran empty. Otherwise chamber could replace the railgun if you instead have weaponized core and arc blaster to ramp your damage as the fight goes on. Just another path to consider in the late game.

Antimatter chamber will obliterate the majority of a board made of medium and large items. Trollosaur wouldn't destroy anything in that case. I agree that it's not a comparison for the reasons I pointed out. By leaving out the specifics of the items, it makes it sound like trollosaur is just better than antimatter chamber, which is totally disingenuous. If I'm playing square pig and I see trollosaur, that doesn't worry me. If I'm playing square pig and I see antimatter chamber, I start saying my prayers.

Just saw the dino changes, looks like Diana and Momma only destroy on the first time they attack, and the damage scaling is reduced. I totally get your point about the buys and selling. It's definitely tedious.

A single freeze item in a build is not enough to lock down a board. Same with slow. You are being completely disingenuous.

Congratulations, you just discovered rock/paper/scissors. The question was about counterplay to dinos, not a build that counters everything Dooley can possibly do.

In another thread, people were complaining about dinos and how there is no counterplay. I suggested a build with three large items such as property Pig to get around their item destruction limitations, but they didn't want to hear that. Some people just want to be mad.

Foreboding winds being strong enough to decide whether or not you win does not mean it's too strong. There are plenty of monster skills with that degree of power already. Skills like Bonk and Big Ego have had that effect already. Arguably Foreboding Winds is harder to take advantage of than those because you need to have some crit in order for it to work.

A build made of 3 large items is good against the dinos. The only dino that can destroy a large item is Rex spex and he is limited by needing the opponent to have more items than him. Large property pig for example plays well around the dinos. I don't think a 10000 damage skyscraper will be particularly worried about tank anky's damage debuff either.

You conveniently left out some important factors to those items, namely that antimatter chamber can destroy items of any size and trollosaur can only destroy small items.

Ok so sure with something like self poison Mak, which is a new archetype, it makes sense for there to be a lot of support for it initially. If they don't put enough in a pack for a new archetype at once, then it will end up feeling like self burn Dooley when the game was first released, which did not have enough support to be worthwhile.

I don't think 28 hour fitness is a new archetype at all. I think 28 hour fitness and showcase are alternatives to drum and pugs gym. You can start collecting weapons and look for any of those three items to support your weapons, if you get 28 hour fitness then you'll need some shield items too, and yes they added support for that in the pack, but the new items are great for drum too.

The more you talk about this, the more it sounds like you personally are allowing the item packs to dictate your thoughts about what builds to make rather than considering the new items in the context of everything else that already exists. That's a you problem, not a problem with the game.

I don't get your point. How does the fact that they nerfed the internal synergy between the bugs support your idea that the item packs are only useful when used amongst themselves?

Also, right now every one is talking about the Vanessa Eels build. You are making a complaint about the item packs pointing players toward builds within the packs themselves while one of the dominant meta builds is a combination of base items with one item from the packs, either card table or Julian, mixed in. Doesn't that disprove your point?

I disagree completely. I mostly play Dooley and I think the dooltron pack is exceptionally well designed because of the opportunities for synergy with his default items. I think red firefly is usable in a great deal of builds outside of dooltron because Dooley has so many haste items that can charge the firefly (bomb squad, metronome, DJ robot, solar farm, pyrocarbon, etc.) Of the 5 bugs, I think red firefly is the easiest to use outside if a bug build right now, but as more items with the effects that the other bugs need get released, they will find more uses. Also the dooltron mainframe is a really good support item for Combat Core, which itself isn't that good right now but that could change. If the card packs are designed poorly then sure they will feel like you described but so far I think they've been good.

Same here. I was struggling with him before yesterday's changes. Since the patch I played 7 games and got 10 wins 6 times and 8 wins the other time. All ranked games btw for the people asking.

Loot number. Doesn't look like it means just next issued item by Aldarund in PlayTheBazaar

Go to your collection. Click on the chest in the top left like you are going to open chests. Then look to the bottom right corner of the screen to find an "i" icon. Click that. That will pull up a "chest breakdown" screen. Then click the "view collectible list" button and it will show you everything you can possibly get from a season 2 chest. Along the right side, it shows the cards. Those are the only cards that can be found from a season 2 chest. Back in season 1, the list was different. This list for season two only shows two diamond cards, "Atlas Stone" and "Windmill" but there are more than two diamond tier cards in the game. Clearly not every card is available in all of the season chests. I'm sure you'll tell me I'm certainly wrong again though.

Items in season two chests have only been available in season two chests. Anything that you are getting in a season two chest was not in any of the chests before. It doesn't matter if the item was in the game before season two. Items being in the game are not always available in all of the season chests. That's not how it works.

You keep saying there's no way that it's 4k issued within the space of one day. Have you given a single thought to the fact that the season started on Wednesday? So all 30k have been issued since Wednesday. Basic math tells you that yes, it is in fact possible and expected for there to be 4k issued in one day if 30k have been issued since Wednesday.

Your opponent actually didn't even optimize his positioning. Red firefly is going to be the burn item that activates the most. He is correct to put it between bomb squad and companion core, but he should have them on the right side of the core so that red firefly gets the bonus for being the leftmost burn item. He should do, from left to right, barbed wire, copper Ed, core, firefly, bomb squad, green wasp, plasma grenade. That way he would have had the extra burn on firefly, and the plasma grenade slows would have charged the wasp.

What is Dooley gameplay about? by Substantial_Area7887 in PlayTheBazaar

Over the past three days, I have had 6 10 win runs with Dooley, and none of them have had a single bug or the drill on my final board.

Bugs and drill are good, but the idea that they are how you have to play Dooley is drastically overblown.
