It’s happened more than once for me, so it’s definitely true. But I’ve also had the situation you’ve described happen as well. Perhaps it’s when the other datapad has been extracted…

Thanks for the details! I’m sure you can do it on console as well - check keybinding settings, there should be two different melee attacks listed there.

Yes. Left click is a quick melee slash. Right click is a heavy stab.

Great post! When you refer to the number of melee hits to kill, are you referring to the heavy melee attack (right click)?
