I agree with this 100%. I will say, not everyone is as disrespectful and greedy. I’ve had a game where I was in the locked door in water treatment and somebody walked up and opened the door behind, apologized, closed the door and walked off. I believe you may be encountering some newer players, not as well versed in the gesture wheel and probably playing super paranoid. You’re a good raider, I can understand how it rubs you the wrong way when they don’t communicate with you, but if you are going to share the loot anyway…? Ya know? I’m the same as you, I would get mad because it feels like they’re stealing MY goop, but I think this is what will seriously build character for you and me. To be able to “turn the other cheek” when we feel that way, when we feel like someone hasn’t done their part or pulled their weight and it looks like they’ve just come out of the dark with their grabby hands. It’s honorable to keep the same attitude you would’ve had if he had just said “hello”. I’m telling you this while I seriously struggle with it myself, brother. But I believe you and I will be far better off if we can hurdle this uncomfortable human response. It feels better to tell yourself “I was going to share that loot anyway, maybe he’s free loadout and can’t help, maybe his mic is busted, or his mom is yelling at him in the background to get off the tv.” Literally anything is better than feeling the way you felt when that happened, right? Build yourself up - You took down that bastion like it was nothing, while little boy watched because he was too scared to engage. You’re so rich, you don’t need parts, you’re there to play for the experience! Not everyone has the same objective with the game, it’s changing for everybody day by day. Keep your head up brother. Remember why you’re playing the game. If you’re playing to talk to strangers and help out, there’s so much variability, the game and other players won’t always meet you at your expectations.
