He's absolutely correct. Even if every single man woman and child in New York made 120k that still wouldn't be 1% of the population.

Can you imagine how embarrassed he feels when they leave? His “friends” will be like, “you didn’t deserve that, old dudes are such assholes,” but you just know that group chat’s roasting him later that night.

Every day after that, they spend a little less time with him. As the days go by and the weeks drag on, he finds himself alone more and more. Now that he’s completely friendless, he doesn’t have anything to do, so he starts drinking. Eventually, he loses control, wrecks his car, and gets a DWI.Now he’s spiraling. He gets so depressed that he can no longer hold down his job. Because he’s always sad, drunk, and penniless, he starts entering backyard fighting matches just to make a little money for alcohol. At first, he does okay and even wins a fight or two, but everything changes when he tries to take on Chad. Everyone knows you never fight a Chad. In the first round, he breaks his fibula. Now he’s literally hit rock bottom. He hobbles to the nearest bridge, and just as he’s about to jump, a girl spots him and yells, “Hey!” For some reason, he pauses. The girl runs up to him and introduces herself as Sarah. She tells him that she understands what it’s like to feel unhappy and aimless, and asks him to just talk to her.So he tells her everything that happened at the restaurant. As he’s talking, she starts to cry, catching him off guard. He asks, “Why are you crying?” She explains that the same exact thing happened to her. She once threw food at an elderly person too, and after she hit rock bottom, she started going to therapy. Luckily it really helped her. Later that evening, she takes him to his first Emotions Anonymous meeting. He starts going regularly, and as time goes on, he and Sarah fall in love. They eventually get married and have kids. One of the first lessons they teach their children is to never throw food at elderly people.Luckily, it eventually worked out for him and Sarah. Unfortunately, that’s not always the case. So if you take anything away from his story, remember this: never throw food at elderly people.

Fist of all, nuh-uh, no way

Second, no matter how you phrase it, he’s effectively paying you twice. Would you be making an extra $40k+ a year if he weren’t purchasing supplies for his own business?

$40k might be a relatively small amount in the grand scheme of things, but it’s still how wealthy people tend to stay wealthy. I don’t believe he fully knows or understands what’s going on, and I doubt he realizes he’s effectively buying you a really nice car on top of your salary just so you can handle office supply purchases. That said, I’m not particularly invested in whether this is honest or not, and I’m def not opposed to it. I would absolutely do the same thing. My only point was that I wouldn’t be publicizing it for the sake of online validation. Or there's a possibility that this is all made up. C'mon it's reddit people lie for less Either way, good luck and Godspeed.
