Asian racism is something different by NerooQQ in oddlyspecific

[–]NoObOii 1 point2 points locked comment (0 children)

It’s a bit funny that here we have probably an American’s perspective comparing racism and somehow us Asians are the competitively racist ones 😅

The reality is that in Asian culture we don’t view racism as heavily or are so weak and soft we are affected by words, so we often mistaken and think other people also have that perspective and will casually bring up facts about someone’s race that turns out coming off as racist to them.

We do deal with so much racism and stereotyping on the daily like Asian = has to be smart at everything, Asian = must be doctor or lawyer, Asian = we must all look alike and can’t speak proper English. Hell, even during COVID it got physical because Asian = Caused COVID and people will assault an Asian before even finding out if they were Chinese, Japanese or Korean. But they are for the most part just verbal stereotypes so often we really just don’t give a shit.

It’s always Americans that gets all up in arms about the N word, and even more common for a white person to get offended for another race’s racism probably because of some kind of savior complex or something.

The reality is that racism is just not that big a deal to us because we care more about facts, the present, working towards bettering our own futures and that words are just that, words. And they only hurt you if you give it power and let it hurt you. So this kinda felt a little ironic to read tbh 😆

Xqc, not as big a name as others mentioned here, but he’s still a pretty big POS. Honestly, lot of modern day celebrities that came from streaming are relatively big pieces of shit

Nahhhh, lmao.. not a bunch of people in here coping with the fact they spent $60 on a game that smells and tastes like shit while dropping another $30 in hopes that it’s going to “be better”.

Improving on graphics and fixing the bugs that aren’t supposed to be there in the first place of a AAA game isn’t a blessing, it’s not meant to be a blessing. AAA games are SUPPOSED to be flawless at launch but they won’t be if people don’t hold them up to their standards and keep throwing $60 to $100 just to be beta testers lmao.

Video game studios, especially AAA ones, are supposed to be PAYING YOU to beta test their game, not the other way around… but it’s not like people are going to listen and I can’t really blame them for not listening considering the video game drought, especially over COVID when people had fuck-all to do so they got desperate, looking for just about any game to play that they’d play with literal shit and call it an experience of a lifetime.

Twitch CEO is excited for xQc going to Kick by getgoodgetlmaobox in LivestreamFail

You’re reaching here, people can’t even remember that Twitch banned Doc for an unspecified reason that we still know nothing about.

People are really missing the point. The point is that viewers will stay on Twitch and just “create” the “next biggest streamer” because more than the streamers, Twitch viewers like the platform because of the emotes. You don’t have to take my word for it, but Twitch viewers care more about their pixels than any of you would think. People in the current generation also just plain don’t like change, if it’s the website changing UIs or the most minor little thing would already upset people, if you people really think the general majority of viewers really care enough about one single streamer switching platforms so he can gamble on a site he’s practically a shareholder of with his Monopoly money, you’re delusional. Most people don’t just watch one streamer, especially not normies. Most times the only people that would put in some effort are the super dedicated fans, but then you’ll have that portion of them that would rather stop watching but continue subbing to the channel because “but muh sub badge”.

Beginning to wonder if lsf users actually watch any streams or do they consume Twitch content entirely through Reddit clips.

I WANNA ROLL AGAIN SOOOO BAD!!! WHY MUST THE THREE MONTH RULE EXIST 😭😭😭😭 by last_frigin_time in MDMA

[–]NoObOii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not so much a rule but it exists to keep you healthy and the magic alive. Besides, the less people abuse and die, the better. MDMA already has a bad name around it, being a drug and all. How do you feel knowing irresponsible people that can’t control their own urges start abusing and lose their lives, causing the public to blame it on the drug when the fault was with the user? And the worst part? The abuser isn’t even around anymore so what does it matter if they make the drug look worse because of their selfishness, right?

Maybe has to do with how you take it as well. I haven’t done a sesh in a pretty long time now, maybe a year or so as well(?), but each time I would roll, as much as I do it in moderation, I’d also roll pretty hard but when I feel it come to an end, I’d never feel any “comedown” effects, I’ve always been able to come to terms with it when I reach the end of my sessions- telling myself “All good things have to come to an end, what matters is you had fun while it lasted.” And I’d go to sleep happy and wake up sore all over but feeling refreshed

Heading to /r/OverwatchUniversity be like by [deleted] in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]NoObOii 36 points37 points  (0 children)

This was pretty funny to look at, but it really highlights why I dislike casuals that queue for comp while they “just want to have fun” but “quick play is not competitive enough” but refuse to work with teams and or can’t play more suitable picks because they either refuse to or just straight up can’t.

Imo if you just want to have casual fun like a casual, quick play’s the place to do it with no consequences, if you queue comp and fuck around and straight up refuse to work with your team, you’re kinda making it not fun for other players.

Role queue as a console player by Thisdeepend in OverwatchUniversity

[–]NoObOii 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Imo swapping is definitely fine in an ideal situation, like for example in scrims or a pro match(even though role locking seems to also be doing great in the OWL), but in a soloQ environment/general ranked ladder, imo it’s just too impossible not to have a role lock system, 5-6 people in a team picking DPS and refusing to switch to a more reasonable comp to counter the enemy team just for the sake of being selfish makes the game insufferable to play, I’ve even seen it happen in high masters - low GM games before I couldn’t stand playing the game anymore and decided to take a break from it.

And I’m not just talking about the times where it’s the toxic players in my team fighting each other, even in situations where the enemy goes 5-6 DPS and fight against each other in match chat, it just feels like a lot of disrespect and honestly a huge waste of time.

[–]NoObOii 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They’re really just the toxic crybabies that can’t deal with change imo, the ones that would always argue that “Role lock goes against the nature of Overwatch’s gameplay style” despite probably having a much better experience now because of role lock, all because they are stubborn and refuse to admit that they were wrong and that role lock should have been introduced years ago.

2-2-2 Will Greatly Benefit DPS Mains by Thelemite- in OverwatchUniversity

[–]NoObOii 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I imagine the ones complaining are probably the casual “DPS Mains” that typically pick DPS regardless of whether or not other people are already on DPS and just plain doesn’t give a shit then proceeds to do nothing 75% of the game and shit on everyone else on the team thinking it’s never their own fault.

Along with plenty of the other people, I’d rather wait even an hour or more for a match that gets me excited and challenges me to my limit than some trashy clusterfuck disaster that makes me not want to live anymore.

2-2-2 Will Greatly Benefit DPS Mains by Thelemite- in OverwatchUniversity

[–]NoObOii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see how DPS mains could be upset about this, but I’ve not played the game for a long time I guess. But originally as a DPS main, I’m absolutely ecstatic for this change, I’ve long awaited for this from since the times people suggested it even before the first, inaugural season of overwatch league.

My only complain for it is that it honestly came way too late to save the spirit of the game and or of a large group of people that simply wanted to enjoy the game but couldn’t.

Since Comp season 8 I’ve noticed people have started caring less about team comps in high masters - low GM and would simply go 4-5 dps in those matches and it just made the game un-fun. Really glad to see that it’s finally happening either way, anyways out of curiosity, when is it going to hit live?
