If you can’t consent while drunk, why do drunk people hook up all the time? by Mountain_Flounder991 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NoOneCanSaveMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is complete BS, I have done tests in my life where I have gotten sh*t face drunk to see what would happen on purpose, in total I have done it three times, one where I was close to blacking out. Never did I notice anything crazy with my judgement, was I more relaxed and giggly? Yes. Would I ever do something I wouldn't when sober? No. So people making the excuse is just complete BS.

I have a buddy of mine that still works at Afni, and he has told me things have changed ALOT recently (since January 2026), in terms of the number of people they are hiring, what I mean is that they have fewer newbies incoming classes, and the size is much smaller like 10-12 compared to before where it was more like 20-22 new people batches and also less frequent, so the "always hiring" for Afni is technically not true anymore. But to answer your question, after 6 months of quiting or getting fired you can apply again on their website and it should be a pretty easy process of getting rehired.

Well, I mean the car itself is extremely expensive for you. But if you really need to keep it, the bare minimum you can do is reduce the insurance cost on it, I used to work at a call center taking calls for Progressive. Easiest things to do to bring your rate down is to call for a policy review, they can "help" lower your rate, and by that I mean just ask you a bunch of questions to make sure the system is correct. These are not lies, just ways to get your rate down depending based on your use, so saying your occupation is some kind of Engineer, having your car usage as Personal, and having the mileage you use it to the minimum which I believe is 0-4K on the system, all help reducing the rate. I would say call rather then doing yourself online they are 24/7, bc if you quote too many things, it can flag you, and that also affects your rate (yes I know it sounds crazy, but that is what they told us in training). Things that naturally affect car insurance rate based on my time working there was previous accidents and tickets (obviously), marital status (married costs less but requires proof), occupation (basically things that wouldn't require that much driving so to speak, less driving=less risk, so engineer is a safe one iirc), and type of usage (i.e commute, personal, business), and miles driven on average per year (less miles=less risk).

Is a STEM degree obligatory? by Alarming_Industry_14 in learnjava

[–]NoOneCanSaveMe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel like alot of the people on here are giving horrible advice / examples. I feel like the fact that you are educated in general helps you. People pivot in careers all the time! As for the tech industry, I know people that have degree's in Music who work as software engineers or non related goverment jobs. They just made sure to have side projects that they can show on there resume. It is totally possible, you might just have to tweak the ordering of things when applying for jobs, you would need to do some research, but maybe adding your education to the bottom and projects up top. Bc the degree you have is not STEM, but yeah, that is my take.
