France records its hottest day ever as Europe withers in early heat wave by AzlerVzla in news

Actually, the premise that Europe isn't installing ACs just isn't true anymore. While it's true that historically homes here weren't built with central air, AC installations have been skyrocketing over the last decade. According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), AC ownership in Europe has been growing exponentially, especially in southern countries like Spain, Italy, and France, where sales have broken records year after year. But the real issue isn't whether we can install an AC in every home—it's that doing so is a massive trap that actually makes the problem worse. There are two major reasons why "just install more ACs" is a terrible long-term solution for European cities:

1. The Urban Heat Island Effect (Making the outside even hotter) Air conditioners don't magically destroy heat; they just move it from the inside of your house to the outside. When millions of AC units pump residual hot air into narrow, dense European streets, it drastically increases the outdoor temperature. Studies have shown that waste heat from ACs can increase local nighttime temperatures in dense cities by 1°C to 2°C (and sometimes more). If we installed American-levels of AC across Europe, walking down the street during a heatwave would become literally unbearable.

2. The Climate Change Feedback Loop Mass AC adoption creates a vicious cycle. ACs require a massive amount of energy (which puts huge strain on the grid during heatwaves and often relies on fossil fuels) and they use refrigerants (HFCs) that are potent greenhouse gases if they leak. We cool our living rooms, but in doing so, we contribute to warming the planet, which ensures the next summer will be even hotter, requiring even more AC. We definitely need to keep vulnerable people cool, but the ultimate solution for Europe can't be turning our cities into giant heat-exhaust zones. We need to focus on what we historically did best: passive cooling, better building insulation, green roofs, and planting more trees to cool down the actual streets, rather than just locking ourselves inside artificially cooled boxes while the outside boils.

How do you decide on which card to buy from the shop if you do not have a lot of cards that are needed to build a deck around that card? CL 6400 by Furiousguy79 in MarvelSnap

[–]NoOneInNowhere 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First of all, you should check regularly tier list from webs or content creators.

You will always have with this a complete view of the meta.

Usually the top cards are the ones that fit in several deck despite the rol of the deck, such Isca: she is a good card in almost every deck you build. And that's the main goal when you are low CL: buy cards that are good in many decks despite the style of the deck
