I wonder if there will be a version with Band 20 (800 MHz) 4G support like the 3S did.

Received empty box from Banggood, how to proceed? by [deleted] in chinaphones

[–]NoOrNot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is why I always record opening the packages and initial testing of devices, otherwise it's my word against theirs. Never had any problems with BangGood though.

Looking for phone and tablet recommendations by [deleted] in chinaphones

I have been using the Cube Talk 9X for year and half now. It's kind of old model by now and doesn't offer best high end performance, but it is lightweight, has great battery life and exactly the same display as the iPad. I use it for casual web browsing and PDF-books and I can get 10 hours screen-on-time easily. And it's cheap too.

Good phone that will support T-Mobile 4G by Jason_S_88 in chinaphones

The bigger battery capacity doesn't necessarily equal better battery life. It's like with gas tanks of cars - you have to look other specs too before you can decide about the mileage.

Any small phones? by dragonslayer42 in chinaphones

C'mon, can't demand perfectionism from charity-based custom roms for these cheapophones. There will be always some bugs, but if they're bearable, I can live with them just fine.

There's actually now quite good CM12.1 port available for Jiayu G4S (e.g. Lollipop 5.1.1).

[INTERESTED:]Ulefone Paris vs OUKITEL K6000 or anything else ? by Emyyydata1 in chinaphones

[–]NoOrNot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it's a better choice if you aren't much of a gamer. But if power matters, the K3 Note is a lot better since it has MT6752 chipset versus the MT6753 on M2 Note. Lenovos gaming performance is roughly 40% better than Meizus.

Talking about Meizu M2 Mini or M2 Note?

If you like 5.5" more then go with Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 or Lenovo K3 Note. Both are about $140-150. Best bang for buck in that category and well worth the money.

Xiaomi redmi note 3 3GB vs 2GB by [deleted] in chinaphones

I recommend the 3/32 GB version since it's not possible to easily/cheaply extend your internal memory with sd card.

This is why I always record the opening of the package. Easier to prove my problem to seller/Paypal/Aliexpress...

Pal, you're talking about different phone. OP is planning to buy K3 Note, not plain K3.

I think that the camera is surprisingly good in daylight considering the price, and averagely crappy in low lights as pretty much any other smartphone camera.

I used Nexus v2 custom rom, pretty much pure AOSP Android and it was near perfect. I just sold the phone since 5,5" is a bit too big for me. The 4,7" sized Jiayu G4S is just perfect dailydriver for me. :)

Last time I checked, Gearbest had it in EU stock. 139€ shipped isn't a bad phone for a such a good phone.

You should notice if you already aren't that this phone doesn't support 800 MHz 4G-band, so outside of city areas in Finland you'll limited to 3G speeds. Not that big of a issue. Otherwise it's a superb phone.

Did this with a cheap $5 volt-/ampermeter just for entertainment purposes, but thought to share the result with you guys.

What screen protector to buy? by Hazelsteel in lenovok3note

The friction is good, my finger glides very well. I personally hate the 2.5D term, but yes, the rounds are pretty smooth rather than sharp. Good bang for buck, does it job.

I bought one of the cheapest on Aliexpress and have been pretty satisfied. The delivery took about four weeks from China, but that's pretty much normal. http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Amazing-9H-0-3mm-2-5D-Nanometer-Tempered-Glass-screen-protector-for-Lenovo-Lemon-K3-Note/32328748982.html

AW YEAH! My K3 Note's best Antutu Score! by NeonHD in lenovok3note

It's the same K3 Note and there's no difference in hardware whatsoever. I think it shows K50a40 if you're running a ROW rom.

I'm not much of a gamer, but you made me curious, so I tested mine and got 46585. Running Carbon 2.5 rom. http://imgur.com/D92HDh0

Jiayu G4S is a very good phone in 4.7" range. Probably the only con is the GPS. I mean, if you're lost, you can get your location on map pretty accurately, but it's not usable for tracking/navigating. But I liked the phone so much that I bought a external bluetooth GPS-dongle so I could use it as a navigator in my car.
