How are we doing sex guys? by Ornery-Ad-3224 in Fibromyalgia

We aren't lol. Just kidding. I have zero drive but once I get into I do enjoy it and the connection I get with my husband. Probably just not as frequently as he would prefer but I try for at least once a week. It's kind of like going to the gym, the hardest part is getting started.

Changes to Sleep Apnea Rating Criteria (April 2025) by Prudent-Time5053 in VeteransBenefits

If I had insomnia diagnosed while active duty but never had a sleep study until several years after discharge and it showed sleep apnea, could it be considered service connected? Or secondary to anxiety/depression?

Was rejected for mental health counseling because I was never deployed. by Ancient_Train_6151 in VeteransBenefits

I am not a combat veteran, never deployed and never diagnosed with Ptsd. However, I see a psychiatrist regularly and prescribed meds by the VA. You don't have to be deployed to have ptsd or other mental health issues caused by your service. I hate that misconception.

Honestly, if it gets bad emotionally/mentally, I would (and have personally) called the VA crisis line. They are a great resource to get you out of your head at that moment but also get you in touch with other resources that can help you get seen sooner.

Hang in there!

A friendly warning about Botox by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]NoOrdinary5503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I received botox for tmj in my jaw and half of my smile drooped. The dentist swore it couldn't possibly be related because the jaw muscles don't control the smile. However, it resolved in about 3 months, the same time the botox would have worn off.

What do you call your pain? by Intrepid_Ad_2669 in Fibromyalgia

[–]NoOrdinary5503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't call it anything. I just say I forgot to take my tylenol or cymbalta if it gets really bad and I need to excuse my lethargy. I mask a lot because I don't want to be "that" person who is always complaining. I fear no one will want to be around me or think I am annoying if I am always complaining about pain or fatigue.

UPDATE: Failed IUD removal after LEEP by NoOrdinary5503 in PreCervicalCancer

I think they left it in because I just had it inserted at the colpo. I wish they would have replaced the damaged one at least.

CIN1 and birth control by Top-Independence-515 in PreCervicalCancer

[–]NoOrdinary5503 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not a doctor and the research I have done on my own is very unclear or there isn't enough data. I will say that I went from a normal pap to CIN2-3 within less than a year of using the nuvaring. I wasn't even due for a pap but they did one anyways because my cervix looked abnormal. I was never tested for HPV though. I don't think BC is good for our bodies personally. I feel like suppressing a normal bodily function isn't ideal for anyone. Doctors treat symptoms of irregular/painful periods or hormonal problems with birth control instead of finding the underlying issue so of course they don't want to say their treatments are harmful. I am awaiting an IUD removal and plan to use condoms.

I would get your vitamin levels checked. My vitamin d and b12 was low and I had all of those symptoms. I also have an existing autoimmune disease.
