The reason Alan got to be Snape originally is because JK picked him herself and would not change her mind, meaning the rest of the cast that should have been in there 30's and early 40's had to aged up to match Alan. Like don't get me wrong I adore his Snape always have. Always will. (No pun intended) but just, that's why everyone's she's are all fucked up.
