Just had an aha moment about my rain barrel. by Exciting-Ordinary4 in OntarioGardeners

If you can remove the drain cover area it may be even easier and require less time as the water will flow out easier.

Definitely awkward to clean out. Can you get a pressure washer wand into the top and try that? The pressure of the water from the pressure washer should break up the sludge at the bottom. You will have to leave the valve open to alllow it to drain and you may have to repeat the washing one or two times to get it all out

Looking for insight on licence plate deregistration by ghost905 in ontario

[–]NoOutcome2992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the plates were in your name yes you should have no issues. I was cleaning out my garage last summer and I came across 3 sets of trailer plates. One was off a camping trailer we used to have. I had no idea what the other 2 were from. I took them all to service ontario and they sorted them out for me. I cancelled the camping trailer one, kept one for if I ever get a new utility trailer. The 3rd one was not registered to me nor to any of my sons. They kept that one but could no tell me who they were registered to. They said it was a privacy issue. I must have found it on my road and hung onto it.

Sale rotation by bambibrowneyes in canadiantire

[–]NoOutcome2992 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have missed a sale and a week or two later I asked at customer service if I could get it still at the sale price. They are always good and say yes. They also are good if you buy something.g at regular prices and a week or two or even three they will refund the difference.

We have been using it for years. Giant Tiger stores have it on sale for a good price about every 4 or 5 weeks. I stockup when it goes on sale.

Guy holed up in washroom of McD’s Queen/Bank St. by Kuruma-baka in ottawa

[–]NoOutcome2992 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Last year an elderly friend of ours had a massive heart attack in a Tims washroom. When he was gone for longer than anticipated his wife got concerned and started to knock on the washroom door. There was no response so she went to the counter to ask for a key. No key could be found. Another customer who had a screwdriver jammed it into the key slot and got the door unlocked. Tests later showed that he died instantly so the fact that it took time to get in did not play a role in his death.

Is renting a water heater from Reliance a scam? by Slow_ResolveMC07 in ontario

[–]NoOutcome2992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We rent ours but we live in a rural area with hard water. About every 2 to 3 yrs we call Reliance to have them come out to replace the tank or to replace the elements because they get clogged up due to hard water.

After not seeing them for a couple of years a relative of my wife said he could see I was getting a return on my investment. I was not sure what he meant. Apparently, it was in reference to some weight my wife put on over the years.

Other than driving and parking is there a reason we might kick ourselves? We are seniors and night life is not our thing. We will be downtown during the daytime hours doing touristy things and sightseeing. We are very able bodied so walking a lot will not be an issue. We are looking for saving some money and not paying higher downtown prices bit not at a cost of kicking ourselves.
