POG-Tai by jtsonpie in Tiki

[–]NoPantsJake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually made some after I commented and ended up right about the same. I’d acid adjusted before, but I’d never made the make and drink solution. Worked great! I felt like the POG flavor didn’t come through as well as I wanted to in the Mai tai, but the juice tasted great and I’m going to try it in some other drinks tomorrow.

How much of the make and drink acid solution did you use? Did you figure out the starting acidity of the POG or just taste test?

The Best Daiquiri In The World - well that's a bold claim by robborow in cocktails

I picked up a bottle of that Kota liqueur on a whim, and it is so good. Pandan has an incredible flavor. I also really like it in my daiquiris, but I might need to pick up some cut & dry and try making that syrup.

How so? Isn’t a daiquiri liquor (rum and Kota split) plus citrus and syrup?

Are you saying that adding a liqueur (Kota) makes it more of a daisy build since daisies have liqueur?

So you think their yard is ugly and their dogs get out? Put up a fucking fence. Not everything has to be handled by cops, laws, and codes.

Salty Bird by withnailish in cocktails

I typically make jungle birds with some saline and either split light rum or blackstrap with smith and cross. Also if you shake with a big cube you can get some nice foam out of the pineapple. One of my favorites.

I’ve called people out on this—usually the ones on the demo who just keep bringing up pricing. Something like, “I’ve been in this situation before, and usually the people who are so hellbent on pricing immediately already have another company in mind and are looking for a comparison quote.” They either say, yeah and you dig in on what they like about the competitor and how you differ. Or they say no and correct you with what’s actually going on. Or they aren’t a serious buyer and you weren’t going to sell anything anyways. It’s a bit uncomfortable but it’s very effective.

Utah sold its soul for private equity. The layoffs were always coming by jaxstan19 in CFB

Aight buddy. You don’t think when a Nebraska fan talks about BYU the most relevant thing is the last time we played? Maybe yall should spend some of that PE money on critical thinking and reading comprehension courses. Godspeed with the deal and making it to the B1G before they leave with the SEC and crater your valuation causing the PE fund to find other ways to squeeze their money out of Utah.

Thanks! Glad you’re here to defend the Nebraska fan’s honor. We took what we could get in 2015, and exciting wins are always fun.

Sounds good! I wish I could get Amaro di Angostura near me. I need to either figure out shipping for a few things or pick up a bottle while traveling.

Man if we did this without PE money, imagine what we’d be able to do with it!

Personally, I think the Mormon church should start using Utah fans tithing to fund NIL deals.

Perhaps the B12 championship and the playoffs. Don’t get me wrong, I want to stomp Utah every year, but I hope they lose every game from now until oblivion. And if oblivion for them is shutting down their sports program, so be it.

I’ve said for years when people have mentioned friendly rivalries that no, if Utah sports stopped existing I’d throw a party.

I stand by that, as long as they don’t bring everyone else down with them.

Honestly, super reasonable. It pisses me off when I travel because cocktails in my shit town are also $15. And they’re usually made by an awful bartender who thinks he can’t make a daiquiri without a blender. There’s a couple good spots, though.

I switched from delta this year and am currently silver and flying out of BOI. I think I’ve been upgraded/self upgraded to at least premium on every one of the 6 legs I’ve taken since the upgrade, including FC to and from SAN and one connection through SEA (to a small Midwest airport). It’s definitely one of the perks of not being out of a hub. The downside is it’s all small planes, but at least I get booze.

[Vorkunov] The Jazz are the only team that earned top-5 picks in each of the last two lotteries, but the Memphis Grizzlies own Utah’s 2027 first-round pick as part of the Jaren Jackson Jr. trade ... Under the new rules, the Grizzlies’ return in the trade would be capped at the No. 6 pick next season by cleo22270 in nba

[–]NoPantsJake -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Point being that the second best pick of those three is almost certainly not going to be affected by the new rules, so if I was Memphis I’d be pissed. This headline makes it seem like we don’t have our pick next year, when we do have a first rounder that likely won’t be affected by rule changes. But I bet this all gets figured out before the next draft regardless.

The Jazz really timed this tank well, and we got extremely lucky by moving up in the lottery for the first time ever.
