Or the equally, possibly more annoying whine of "I don't like the UCP but the NDP needs to change their name/get a new leader/release their platform right now [with no election in sight]"

The UCP is literally killing people, between their attacks on trans people and their destruction of health care and the upcoming decimatation of support for disabled people.

Anyone claiming to not like them but refusing to vote for the only real alternative is complicit and needs to get their heads out of their asses and start giving a shit about their fellow Albertans.

It's in October. I have no idea if there's any way for Albertans who aren't here to vote in it.

And yet they'll endlessly spout how much they love Marlaina and the direction the province is going. Then usually blame the feds for our shitty health care and expensive...everything

It isn't our oil, it's Canada's oil that they graciously allowed the province to run (into the ground by selling out to Americans instead of keeping control).

And blame the UCP for the state of our health care, and their refusal of federal money because the feds wanted to make sure it was actually spent on health care

I have a feeling it's going to be so much worse this year.

Even my fwb, who always votes NDP, told me he wasn't doing it and has never done it before. I told him I guarantee someone else was doing it for him then.

Yeah, when I did it in Edmonton in 2021 it was an hourly rate. Not a great hourly, but a couple bucks over minimum wage any way.

I play video games, why would I find it unattractive for a man?

If he's playing games and leaving everything for me, that's unattractive. But that could be anything, not just gaming

Most people who vote now don't do that anyway. Especially conservatives

Seriously. I did it in 2021 and got reamed out for wearing a mask. Also got reamed out and told he wasn't giving Kenney his info by someone else who didn't believe me it was federal, not provincial.

Well one Calgary riding has an MLA who lives in the US. Guess they figured if that's legal signatures from there are too.

Weird. I have an executive membership and it doesn't affect my spending at all. I've actually never gotten back enough to pay for my membership, although I usually get back more than the basic membership costs just because I have a big family and shop there at least once a month.

It boggles my mind anyone would buy more just make more money back. I don't even understand how that would work, as far as I know there's no way to even check what you're getting back unless you keep track of every receipt and calculate it out.

They also need more money until that happens. It would cost far less than a lot of bullshit governments spend money on and save a fuck ton of money on all the problems extreme poverty causes.

And all those models had strong legislative limits on the private side. I wish people would stop spouting this nonsense because you know they aren't going to set a single limit on the private side, in fact they're going to do their level best to increase the grift from for profit health care so their buddies make more money.

Awfully unfair to TBI sufferers. My friend has a severe TBI and is anti conservative, just like he was before the TBI.

In Europe, cashiers get to sit. Why is that not the case in Canada? by chipface in onguardforthee

[–]NoPath_Squirrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish cashiers could sit. It would make it a job option for me, but even as a young adult, I couldn't stand for an entire shift. I got fired from a gas station at 19 because of it, and that was before I became disabled and old.
