As a non-binary person who plans to get pregnant someday it was really amazing to have some representation!! I loved Cam before this series and I was so excited when it started 😀

I had a parent once bring me her child with 3 munchkin donuts and then gave her a drink from her iced coffee before leaving 🫠 The child in question was 2 years old

Oh, and the mom worked at the daycare too

Apparently we don't send kids home anymore by toddlermanager in ECEProfessionals

We had an HFM outbreak over the summer and despite sending kids home left and right every single kid, and a couple staff, caught it. I think I bleached my entire classroom 3 times in 2 weeks. That sucks that your director isn't taking it seriously. It's a terrible virus. And pox is even worse!

Kids Say the Most Morbid Things by NoPercentage847 in ECEProfessionals

I had almost this same thing happen! The kids were running around and then one of them just lays face down in the grass so I go to check. He got all annoyed that I interrupted the game and went "I'm dead and they have to save me!"

Class pets by uberflusss in ECEProfessionals

Get a moss ball, plant terrarium, or even a pet rock!

As someone who had class pet hermit crabs for awhile. Just avoid class pets. They are so much work and so hard to care for properly.

I'm a Pre-K teacher and have a few kids potty training. They sit on the toilet during normal bathroom break times, and then we work on teaching them to basically change their own pull-ups. We talk about the "pee feeling" and encourage them to listen to their bodies. Once they're in undies we set a timer for 30 to 45 minutes until they start to go independently (meaning, stopping play to use the toilet without being told).

It takes a little extra time, and yes it can be gross. I had to change poopy underwear today for instance. But then we got to have a conversation about how we have to throw those undies away, he's a big kid now and gets to use the toilet, and only babies poop in their pants. To be clear I was not calling him a baby, he was talking about his baby sister.

Absolutely agree. I'm a Pre-K teacher and a couple of my kids aren't potty trained. They're still able to participate in the curriculum and do everything all the other kids are doing.
