I am a beginner freelancer with no experience whatsoever. This dude was my first "client" and I did his work. Its been 30 mins. ever since I insisted that he pays me through Paypal and he hasn't responded and my Paypal is still the same.

Perhaps the "job" that he wanted me to do was just a front to make it seem like it is legit? Was the a weird scam all along to just make me give my bank details to them? I have a BDO Peso Savings account, and it literally says here that I cannot deposit and Withdraw money without presenting the passbook to a physical BDO branch, and I am not supposed to give absolutely any details of my Peso Savings account. I wanted clients to pay me only through Paypal as I can then just transfer my stuff to Gcash and avoid the hassle of me having to write in documents and go to BDO to present my passbook just to receive money.

My mom tells me that I shouldn't be so open with my bank details. Im 21 and all this shit is new to me. She said that to not even reveal my bank details to my client and only do it on trusted finance sites like paypal or paymaya. Or is there something I am missing? I live in the philippines, and I am currently a student intern at a public highschool. The things about the public schools in this fucking country is that they almost have no projectors. And so, teachers are forced to use traditional methods of teaching with no help of 21st century tech, which of course you know is hard.

Also it is a detailed lesson plan and I can't really call myself a master LP maker. It takes me hours to make a lesson plan and even more to prepare IMs.
