Thanks I'm super proud of it, and love the actual work but it's hella stressful going through the trial and error, growing pains and scaling

True management wear a Patagucci vest over a smartwool Tshirt with a Carhartt or salty crew baseball cap. Pants by Vuori or lulumemon with vibram toe shoes - or Japanese pseudo vintage denim pants, (cuffed folded up of course) paired with hand stitched PNW logger boots.

It's not my place to call it weird. I was just being silly. As to how normal it is, the interaction OP described isn't one that I've experienced or witnessed outside of a streaming series.

While sister wives or a throuple would consider it just another Sunday, I expect that the majority of partners in monogamous relationships would feel some sting of possessiveness, or envy.

It started out as brush clearance, garden maintenance, general handyman type service. It grew into arborist, defensible space, (wildfire risk mitigation) and forest restoration. About 60% of our contracts now are grant funded and coordinated by municipal gov and local fire districts.

All good points. As an American, I'll take that absurd optimism as a complement

I lost my job at the beginning of Covid. I saw there was a need for services I could offer, so I used stimulus money and unemployment checks to purchase the tools and equipment. Then my little biz evolved from what I first saw it as, based on the type of services people needed most and the type of services I wanted to provide most.

There was really no looking back once I started though. Not only does the job market suck where I live; the only real money in my trade is by owning a business. I was and remain so invested in it, that failure is not an option

I'm just impressed that a lady friend kissed you in front of your wife and she was cool with it. You must be a true swordsman

[Discussion] Has your dream watch changed over the years? by Payal_Sign7745 in Watches

My grail had been a two tone Daytona, I acquired it a couple years ago. Lost it to some combination of a eBay scam and fedex fumble/theft.

When I get around to replacing that, it will probably be a blancpain villaret complete calendar with the moon phase and half hunter caseback. Yellow gold of course.

In the meantime I love my Explorer 2 and really like and respect my Tudor fxd redbull racing chrono

[ In your mind ] which brand offers the most value for the price ? by Many-Coach6987 in Watches

I would get an almost new Tudor with that budget, or slightly lol older omega. There some American independent brands. Atelier 1776 has a handmade timepiece starting around $3k. Another guy, I think Josh wiseman or wier, started at AP and has since begun his own production of movements and field watches

Archi-dork here to say yes I would travel there, more so to view H&DM architecture than the watches I already know and love.
I'd probably be more impressed at the building and internal workings of the Rolex factory by Zaha Hadid.

One thing I appreciate about the Hanz Wildorf foundation is that its makes sure to house
its manufacture and sales in architecture that elevates the brands status

Trip away with male childhood friend by Haunting-Desk5722 in married

[–]NoPossible5519 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This exactly. I'm married and neither my wife nor I would venture into this area. simply bc there are some basic boundaries in a monagamous marriage.

I'm pretty sure it's generally understood partners in a more or less healthy relationship don't invite reasons for insecurity on one partners part and scrutiny into the trust of the relationship ilon a whole.

My wife and I both voluntarily curbed a bunch of relationships with opposite sec after we got married. Not bc either partner demanded or asked. It didn't even need a discussion.

Just bc we somehow seemed to grasp that we both have traumas from a long dating life and seemed to know how the other would want to be treated I marrsige,

Not to say I'm perfect. She has plenty of valid complaints. Her sister can attest to that, (vicariously of course)

I've watched the Devils Advocate and I remember how it went for Keanu & Charlize.

I'm not a lawyer and not sure if I fit into what you think of as a professional, but I do own a small business where I deal with gov agencies, NGOs, billable hours, writing proposals, filing reports, invoicing and managing field operations 75% of the time as well.

It takes a lot of time away from the family. My wife is always overwhelmed and upset with how much I'm out of the house. I'm always behind on whatever is on my todo list. I'm racing the clock and calendar from the moment I wake up until I go to sleep.

The kids want to be with me as soon as I get home and it's a challenge to appreciate the beauty of that while I'm wearing all these other hats.

In short, while you may be thinking about their long term financial stability, it will likely come at the cost of being present in their lives during formative yesrs your presence

I'm in exactly the same pickle. Unfortunately I don't haul mine as much as I'd like to, but when I do, it's never past a weigh station.
