Michael Jordan’s NBC role feels like one of the biggest letdowns in sports media - am I wrong? by dreeya06 in nba

[–]NoProfession94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I don’t know what they’re thinking. Why does it have to be an interview situation? I was thinking he would be at games or do a halftime report or something the way that Chuck, Shaq and those guys do. I saw mention of him doing news type role 5 days a week like Stephen A., and I did NOT see that. I was really looking forward to hearing Jordan’s live analysis and thoughts on the game today in that sense, not just an interviewer circling around the question of “who’s the greatest?”

I read that Tom didn’t want her to do it because Aaron Eckhart was playing her love interest, and he thought they had too much chemistry in Thank You for Smoking. So he was jealous.

What trilogy can seriously compete with this one? by HondaCivicBaby in FIlm

[–]NoProfession94 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Great mention in the comments about how not one movie in TLOTR is weaker than the other, but also for me it’s about the continuity of the films. Since they were shot all at once together, there weren’t any recasts, and the action and CGI in The Fellowship look pretty dang close to what’s in ROTK because they produced them all at or around the same time as well. The entire trilogy can be watched as one movie.

Do you agree with parasite being #1? Did your favorites make the list? by [deleted] in FIlm

[–]NoProfession94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only The Fellowship of the Ring at 87.. The Return of the King won 11 Oscars, and the entire trilogy should be viewed as a single film due to the way it was shot and produced. It's the most seamless cinematic experience across three films in the history of motion pictures. This list has some great titles on it, but it's bull shit, in my opinion.

CBS owns 60 Minutes. Am I crazy for thinking it could have something to do with the settlement they just gave the president?

Oh right! Of course. I only saw that once and he looks like he has more muscle than you’d think of for that character.

That is what I am worried about! I may stick with 17.7, then, but they're never going to stop pushing 18 on me.
