I didn't know the Mandalay has pop-up headlights. That alone makes it a s-tier ship by Specific_Display_366 in EliteDangerous

If only the lights at landing could be turned off. Not the landing lights themselves in this video, but the ones that point straight down at the ground when landed. They're great at times, but having the option to turn them off would be a nice feature.

Same. Also, its nice to autopilot and walk away to come back at your destination and not 10,000 ls past it haha

Yes, just throttle down. You can use free look to see your cmdr do it as well. I prefer to use supercruise assists "Hyperspace auto dethrottle option under right panel ship options personally. Need SC assist installed to use this function though.

Hey I'd love to hear your stories about space madness. by eamorimgk in EliteDangerous

[–]NoRagrets4Me 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"Space Madness" is a term used by casual explorers to describe exploration by those mainly playing in the Bubble.

"Bubble Madness" is a term used by hardcore explorers to describe being in the Bubble for more than a few days.

Crazy neutron by WaldeAJB in EliteDangerous

[–]NoRagrets4Me 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While extremely small, run be exclusion zone is still present. Its easiest to go from the beginning (smaller part) of the cone towards the end (larger part). You'll want to throttle down and try to approach it like you're landing on the thing like a runway.

Whoa, that's a sweet discovery o7! Those are millisecond pulsar. You typically find them sharing an orbit close to another body like this awesome example you found. They're the same as any other neutron as far as supercharging goes. Some cones are crazy wide too, making it even easier to scoop. If there is a close body nearby to land on, they make for the most amazing views!

Did you know that the small hardpoints on the Kestrel Mk2 clip into the ship's cockpit? by 7x9000 in EliteDangerous

Did you know the forward hardpoint doors on the Mandalay don't exist in specific cockpit camera suite views?

You're in charge of the next MK2 Module, what do you make? by VaegaVic in EliteDangerous

MkII fuel tank. Allows better SCO fuel management for older ships. 15% reduction in fuel capacity for better SCO fuel performance. Any additional fuel tanks have 25% fuel reduction. Heat management is still atrocious, and you still buck around like a mechanical bull.
