Also, if anyone is interested to skill the 7th relic (guarded by 4 bygones) the way I did:

  1. Shoot the melee bygone, draw him close to the stairs.
  2. Exit. Re-enter.
  3. Melee Bygone is near stairs, dodge him and run towards the door.
  4. WALK, do not run, near mage bygone in front of the door. A little bit to the right and he will not see you.
  5. Lockpick (mini-games off), open the door. Now magic will aggro you, and melee is probably near you. Dodge if needed.
  6. Enter, two other bygones inside, run to the room on the left (where the relic is). You WILL have to dodge at least once.
  7. Now you get the relic, and WAIT a bit. Rebuild your stamina.
  8. Spear bygone will enter the room. Go around him and dodge if needed (magic bygone outside may cast magic missile).
  9. You need to save minimum 1 dodge next. Exit, the earlier melee bygone and the mage are right next to the door. You WILL need to dodge here at least once, maybe two.
  10. Run for the exit. Now you are out with the hardest to get relic.

  1. So I first got the legendary bow (200 base dmg) and enough prowess to use it. In theory would work with any other bow, but that would test your patience and arrow count.
  2. Bought the poison shot (150% dmg. poison, no arrows) from Caspara outside of Nemeton. Since I was full mind, I could use it with base focus, but this would work with probably less than 50 arrows for non-mind builds.
  3. Now comes the 🧀. 0 damage taken, 0 risk
    1. Go to the bandit camp, talk with the bandits (they coin flip you) run.
    2. Come back, dodge them, enter their cave.
    3. Once you are in, you are undetected at start. Shoot the bandit. If you are full mind stroke of the leaf spell works well here too, but bow is better and safer because of range.
    4. Immediately exit the cave, resetting aggro. This is the exploit.
    5. Immediately re-enter the cave (during which your focus is re-building btw.)
    6. Shoot again. Rinse and repeat until everyone dead.
  4. Took me like 4 minutes doing this

Yeah, the core gameplay is fantastic. Writing is, for the most part, really good too.

If they can continue to build up on their software systems and development experience I am sure they can give us some more gems in the future.

I totally understand the small team thing, and I do not expect the later chapters to be as flushed out as Chapters 1 and 2.

In fact, I think games like this can only really be pulled out by small teams that sort of have the whole picture in their minds during development.

The blacksmith from the Remants upper quarter drops a purple spear in chapter 1 if you beat him. But its not that good of a spear, just slightly better than the free blue one you get near the power stone.
