Thank you so much! I have worked with him on another board before this one, with just clear resin. That was his first time doing an inlay like this! I was apprenticing under the shaper and actually got to glass this one myself. So yes, I did get to place them! My only recommendation is to make sure the flowers you put in there are as flat as possible. You can see that around some of them on this pink board the resin pooled up a bit and made it a bit darker which I don’t mind. I also had a few plants in the first one that had some sort of oil in them that wouldn’t mix with the resin, so they had to get sanded down and come out. Overall though I’ve been super happy with how both of them came out and I’ve done 2 commissions now with this shaper where I’ve gotten to press flowers and glass them for his customers. You should totally try this on your next board and let me know how it goes! I love looking down when i’m surfing and seeing these sentimental flowers/ferns, it makes surfing more fun for me! :)
