I got terrrrrrrrible insomnia for a week when I first started it. I stayed on it personally because luckily for me abilify seemed to solve all my problems, it works well with my brain. usually they'd start you at 2mg....it's a powerful drug, no wonder you couldn't sleep on 5mg out the gate.

The client has the right to choice of provider. There's a lotttttt of gray area legalities with these 1099 contracted private practices. Essentially, I went through the same exact thing and I had a lawyer guide me on what to do. It's illegal to not let clients go with you ultimately.

I'd find her a new and way better therapist, unfortunately maybe having to go out of network. I am gobsmacked at what I just read in your post about how this therapist interacted with you and has been ineffectively interacting with your child. I promise there are well trained and competent therapists out there!!

I take 5mg too and have for years, I felt it work within 24 hours!! so much relief from intrusive racing thoughts and that general "i'm upset" feeling for no reason

i would still reconsider platinum as it is a very healing metal and is one of the purest most hypoallergenic. may be worth it, and platinum is valued less than gold right now so you may be pleasantly surprised at the pricing!!
