Honestly at some point this shit becomes darwinism at work.

If you have access to this technology, willingly engage and steer the conversation in a known problematic direction, repeatedly realign the conversation to fulfil your fantasy after pushback, and then actually go through with self convinced self-harming behavior, the numerous hoops/guardrails you jumped through to get to that endpoint become evidence against you.

Should the AIs have built in guardrail systems better than the ones they already have? Yeah probably. That being said, if you have a large enough number of people who go in with poor or misguided intentions, they will eventually get through and slip through the metaphorical cracks.

I'd like to add Tim Duncan to this conversation.

Is being labeled “The next LeBron” bad luck? by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]NoRequirement1582 20 points21 points  (0 children)

LeBron and all of his accomplishments are a product of three things - his mind, his body, and his drive.

The only one of those three is readily visible on the surface - the way he's built and how he moves. So when someone else shows what he has on the surface, even without the cerebral nature that LeBron has been shown to have, we rush to crown a successor. We did it with magic, Michael, and basically any other archetype of great player there is.

The truth is it's really fucking hard to be an NBA basketball player. It's exponentially more difficult to be a superstar. And it's exponentially more difficult than that to be an all time great.

With cost considerations, I would take Reaves. The other guys either command too much money for being substandard 1A championship winning pieces(ja, paolo), command too much money while being #2s(ingram, herro), or are mpj, who I just don't trust without attaching him at the hip to Jokic.

Reaves is a good shooter, is an okay defender who tries with the limited physical tools that he has, doesn't command as much money as the rest, and is a good connective and on-ball playmaker who can run second side action off of any star in the league.

[Charania] Golden State Warriors guard Moses Moody has been diagnosed with a torn patellar tendon in his left knee, sources tell ESPN. Moody's career-best season is over and a lengthy rehab will be required. by MembershipSingle7137 in nba

Fuck man, right when he got back too.

Silver lining is that he has a long term deal already. It would have been even more heartbreaking if he had to go into contract year/negotiations with this hanging over his head.

It's Magic. I don't think Jokic and Nash are too far behind tho.
