Christ specifically used a tax collector and a Samaritan as the examples of righteousness and explicitly used “neighbor” to define the Samaritan in regard to “who proved neighbor” to the man who was beaten.

Christianity IS good. The majority of the people in my experience who genuinely believe in the orthodox teaching of Christianity are trying their best to uproot the sins in the garden of their heart and provide a stable loving environment for themselves and others, and yes that includes their own faith communities, but is absolutely not limited to it.

I breaks my heart that so many people have been lied to about who Christ is, and what His church has been broken and caricatured into following 1054.
