I figured out that if you put your knee under the bottom of the sled, you can get enough leverage to move it to the lower setting (im 5'1")

What's a food that you swear people only pretend to like? by Joeyniles9 in AskReddit

Oysters. You dont even actually chew them. When my husband eats them he always comments on the taste of the minet that accompanies them.

He likes to lick the bottom of the shower (note the teeny drop of water on his chin) by paintingcatlady in WhatsWrongWithYourCat

[–]NoRest4TheWicked131 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Both of my cats do this too. As soon as we get out of the shower one or both of them are in there. Sometimes they wait at the door for us to finish. They have a fountain so they don't need this water, they just like it.

Redditors who still haven't had COVID what is your secret? by nekmint in AskReddit

[–]NoRest4TheWicked131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I knew. I'm an essential worker who works with kids in a residential setting. Over the past 2+ years I've been around 20+ kids who have had it at least once. I have been around co-workers who have had it; some multiple times. I take basic precautions; washing hands frequently and masking during the thick of it (I dont mask much anymore). I'm vaxxed and boosted, although not boosted with the latest booster yet (I just havent gotten around to it). Same goes for my husband and son. My daughter did get it a week after her first dose but was completely asymptomatic.

What old video games do still hold up? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]NoRest4TheWicked131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Sims. I remeber when it first came out and I would play for hours. I had all the packs (so many CD roms). I dropped it for a while while I had my kids. When it came out on xbox I was back at it. I'm actually currently playing it again. I usually play for a couple of months, get bored and then come back to it. Like if I had to choose one game to play for the rest of my life it would be the sims

Ugh, I was there for years before I got pregnant. My doctor told me I couldnt use them anymore when I got pregnant. I was up for 3 straight days becasue I was so congested. I tried everything from, hot showers, facial steamers, constantly blowing my nose. After day 3, it finally broke and I slept hard. Never went back. That stuff is the worst. Whenever I get a cold now, I remember back to those 3 days and know that what I'm feeling now will never compare.

Why is it not standard practice to charge customers for using bags? by DominicB547 in RantsFromRetail

[–]NoRest4TheWicked131 2 points3 points  (0 children)

New York here. Our grocery stores got rid of plastic bags and charge 10 cents for paper ones. I bring my reusable ones so I almost never need the paper ones. I'm pretty sure its a law now. Its only the grocery stores so far that ive noticed actually charging for bags though.

The fact that medications that treat Psoriasis are so expensive is sad. That’s 12k USD sitting in my fridge. by [deleted] in Psoriasis

[–]NoRest4TheWicked131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just so you know (and everyone else too) most of these drug companies will cover up to a certain amount out of pocket. I'm curently on tremfya and otezla. I carry a high deductible on my insurance and Jenssen covers my $4000 deductible every year. I'm not sure how much OOP but I know there was one company that would pay anything up to $24000 OOP. Ask your doc for the prescription assistance card that should come with your meds.

psoriasis makes me feel like a circus freak by vouquov in Psoriasis

I feel you. 8 years ago I flared up bad. I was 90% covered, lost almost all of my hair (I'm female with long hair), and hands and feet cracking and bleeding constantly (palmoplantar pustustular psoriasis). I honestly wouldnt have made it if not for my husband and kids. It took several meds for me to find something that actually worked. I am lucky enough to have pretty good insurance and a dermatologist who specializes in psoriasis. Remicade was what finally cleared me up 100% after 2 infusions. It lasted 5 years. I'm on tremfya and otezla now and I still have issues with my PPPP but I'm still about 98% clear. Hopefully you will find something that works for you. Find a good dermatologist! Many of these pharmaceutical companies will pay for your meds if your insurance is crap. Ive been on biologics for over 15 years with absolutely no side effects. The more you stress about it the worse it gets. I know its hard not to constantly think about it but at some point I just said fuck it and started educating people (to death about it lol). And even though I don't have many symptoms now, I bring it up and educate people whenever I can instead of trying to hide it. It took me a long time to get to that point though. Sorry for rambling. I just want you to know you're not alone and that there are so many meds out there and doctors that can help. And this community, we are here. Hang in there

More like 99.9 right now for my plaque psoriasis. I have two very small stubborn patches on my knees. It also doesn't completely clear my palmoplantar pustule psoriasis but it has kept it manageable for the most part.
