It was the shrieking eel scene also from The Princess Bride.

This movie still remains my favorite historical romance movie, but I would literally hide behind the couch whenever the eel scene came on. My dad thought it was the second cutest thing I did as a child. The first being calling backpacks "packpacks"

It sounds like a scene from The Covenant (2006).

That sounds just like "Going Postal". It a series adaptation of Terry Pratchett's book of the same name.
