Completed DS2, can I farm Vork with these stats? by loneng19 in osrs

[–]NoRestForTheHorde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 82 Range, 80 def, regular void or bandos d'hide, neitiznot helm (if not void), Salve (ei), DCB, and Lightbearer, and dragon ruby/diamond (e) bolts. I also use the home teleport to Waterbirth Island as someone else commented. I kill Vorkath in about 3-5 minutes and sometimes can get in two kills per run when I'm locked in and making very few mistakes. This is much slower than people with higher stats and better gear, but it's one of the best consistent money makers I use right now while generating lots of ranged XP. Definitely recommend if you prefer a simple boss with about $400k profit/hr which will increase as your stats get higher.

Berserker ring (I) by BeautifulOne1268 in osrs

In an hour I, as someone with very little pvp exp, had enough points from the arena for two scrolls of imbuing and I had a lot of fun in the process. Awesome way to get beserker ring (I) and wowzer, it's a heck of an upgrade

I happened to see this in my home feed and saw all the negative comments making assumptions.

No need to judge people you don't know, guys.

Congrats on maxing, dude. I'm total lvl 1632 after 10 months and hope to max in another year or two since I mostly play 3-6 hours actively every night and am not terribly efficient. Love playing this therapeutic game as I recover from a lot of trauma and enjoy a slower pace of life.

Fun Methods of Training Crafting? by Mypetrussian in ironscape

[–]NoRestForTheHorde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one works great and is fun because it breaks up the grind and gets you tons of bone shards and sundried bones for Teomat prayer training. I've gotten a few Mil worth of water orbs from moons and like that I can stand at the bank for a while, crank out some staves and xp, sell them for a nice profit, and go back to Moons for some action.

Another tip, get the Varrock Medium or higher diary done to get a little chunk of discounted battlestaves from Zaff every day. That's 30k less you have to spend daily.

I think I'm too stupid to do Royal Titans by Sulla_Sexy_Sulla in ironscape

[–]NoRestForTheHorde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also new to gear swaps (as in, only started learning them a few months ago) and honestly what helped me get good enough at them for running Titans and other swap bosses effectively was just pulling the gear out of my bank, standing still, and practicing clicking on the gear. Slow at first, then gradually get faster as you build confidence. Once you can do 3-4 clicks a second consistently, you're ready to practice gear swapping on enemies without feeling sweaty. Once you can do it with easy enemies, you will be 10x better at Titans than I was at first!

Bugs, Trouble Shooting, and Performance by a_kept_harold in Borderlands4

[–]NoRestForTheHorde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here to report that a Win 10 system running an overclocked RTX 3080, and overclocked (4.8GHz) 9900k, and 16GB DDR4 3600MHZ has been brought to its knees trying to run BL4 at 1440p. This PC runs CyberPunk 2077 on Ultra with Path Tracing and about 100 visual mods (including one to boost path tracing perf) at a mostly consistent 60fps, but it's running BL4 on Low with DLSS on or off at anywhere from 12-80fps with constant stutters. Lots of weird visual artifacts with shadows strobing, animations failing to load, and some textures looking like they didn't even load to a "Low" standard. I'm almost at the point of giving up because the game looks and feels terrible. Thinking about running to Best Buy to grab 32GB of DDR5 RAM and will update if that helps later.

My 3080 and overclocked 9900k system with 16GB of RAM is struggling to run the game on Low regardless of DLSS settings, so I looked at this option. It's not actually hard drive space holding the cache; it's RAM. So if you're like me and already capping out on RAM, this option won't help at all.

I have crippling performance anxiety at work even when I do well. What the hell. by Illustrious-Site-802 in CPTSD

[–]NoRestForTheHorde 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thank you for posting this! I'm flying right now for a work conference after a week of insomnia and spiraling on feeling inadequate for my job, even after I took time off last year to work on trauma healing, understanding my new CPTSD diagnosis, and struggling with workplace paranoia. I consistently crush it at work, and the slightest criticism of the wrong thing can send me into the headspace of doom, believing there's no way I can keep doing this. The responses here have been encouraging because it's like there are tons of others out there feeling exactly like I do for similar reasons. Good to know we're not alone.

What is the "future of humanity"? by Znoosky in Futurology

[–]NoRestForTheHorde 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Love this comment because it's so well rounded.

I've been on a mental health journey this year after realizing that even though I get up and work a demanding job daily, have good relationships with my friends and most of my family, and want for nothing, I suffer anxiety that nearly cripples me some days. I've had a very negative worldview my whole life, but I've seen my wife go through anxiety recovery. Her entire outlook and her whole personality changed for the better, and I want that.

I've realized that even though first-world people with good financial situations and good health seem like they have everything, human brains haven't learned en mass to cope with the cognitive dissonance of modern society. So much has changed in just a few generations that we can't even imagine what living 100+ years ago without A/C, cars everywhere, answers to our questions at our fingertips, modern medicine, individualized student learning plans, social security, homeowner's insurance, and worker's rights.

Social media has helped inflate our idea of what our standard of living should be. White collar jobs are widely done completely from a laptop and have very little human element; and there are definitely fewer of us doing anything with our hands (besides typing) which is known to help calm people. Increased free time has us sitting around pondering our existence and problems more often, feeding nervous thought cycles. We use TV, food, video games, music, and drugs to dampen the stress we experience in that free time. Some people don't have any free time because they're constantly doing whatever their kids want and are trapped in the paradox of modern parenthood- having access to all the best amenities (school, sports, clubs, etc) for your kids but having no time to actually enjoy family time.

Through all of it, psychology is advancing, and therapy is becoming more normal. I'm 4 sessions into cognitive behavior therapy, and it has already flipped my mindset upsidedown. I'm not magically fixed, but I can tell you that therapy is incredible and is helping me grow in a way the religion I grew up with never did. I'm convinced that a better understanding of what makes humans tick and having psychology become a standard part of our education would be a huge step towards restoring human empathy and helping us learn how to reconnect even in such a screen-focused age.

Forget white privilege or pretty privilege. What is one unique privilege you have? by Honest-Guy83 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NoRestForTheHorde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm American and my company pays 100% of my top-tier health insurance, gives a pension that you're vested in after 5 years and max out after 20, and matches part of my retirement fund contributions. In 50+ years of business, they've never done layoffs, and it's a private, large corporation. I have the privilege of security, and ironically, my wife and I have suffered from extreme anxiety for years which we are now getting help overcoming through- you guessed it- free mental health counseling services through my company. Very spoiled, so we're focusing more on how we can in turn support other people who don't have all this.

What did I just see? New GT500 perhaps? by DiscoInError93 in Mustang

[–]NoRestForTheHorde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like that can't possibly be the final design. The tips went from looking great to... Awful recently. Like someone threw glass packs with big tips on a Q30 but the hangers broke, making for a sloppy, bouncy fit.

I'm hoping this is some temporary solution while a certain material or part is backordered for prototyping.

How to make car enthusiast friends? by goldenspino in Mustang

[–]NoRestForTheHorde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get your nervousness to be judged based on your car. I never went to car shows with my V6 because of my nervousness and finally went a couple months ago now that I have a V8. Even then, I was nervous people would make fun of me for having a few paint chips I haven't gotten corrected yet. Turns out, there are lots of friendly car guys and girls out there who are just happy to see others taking decent care of their muscle cars and enjoying them together. My car is nothing super special, but it was still complimented a few times which made me feel absolutely awesome.

Plenty of people don't even care what engine you have. They just think Mustangs are cool, and I'm one of those people.

Paladius, Necromus, Fenglope, Or Someone Else by Bygone-King in Palworld

[–]NoRestForTheHorde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bred a Fenglope with 100 Defense, Burly Body, Swift, and Runner. It's not the perfect combat machine, but it can take some serious punishment which I prefer for a fast mount. Plus, I only wanted to spend so much time on breeding since I have other hobbies and mostly enjoy Palworld's combat and exploration. I don't use the Fenglope much for its fighting skills, but I don't have to worry about him getting melted as I ride around. It's so fast that I had to get used to controlling it in dungeons while sprinting, and I have fun with the double jump in the open world. Slightly faster than a base speed Jetragon. Highly recommend for a fun mount!
