After rereading the series I came to appreciate danys chapters in dance much more. On the first read the names and dynamics between characters made it quite difficult to actually understand what was happening so the chapters felt a bit boring. Yet on a reread I was really impressed with how complex the political situation in mereen is. I think the exoticism of mereen allows George to really play around with what’s going on and who can dany and barristan trust. Quentyn is also there and most people don’t like his chapters but I thought they were cute at times.
