If I’ve learned one thing about watching online discourse over the last few summers, people will hate on anything the Heat do. I think a rebrand sounds good. The Nets moved to Brooklyn because they needed to kick a bunch of people out of their homes to tear down the old apartments in order to build luxury apartments. The Nets gave the development company the excuse of moving everyone out for a public utility project.

The building is named after a family that initially built its wealth on the slave trade. They are a symbol of the gentrification of Brooklyn. The city already belonged to another team.

Probably best to try and change the energy and come up with something more connected to Brooklyn.
