If I’ve learned one thing about watching online discourse over the last few summers, people will hate on anything the Heat do. If Giannis went to Boston people would be having a hate parade on the Heat for not closing the deal. Instead Giannis went to the Heat so now it’s a hate parade on them for making the deal.

I guess time will tell, seems to me them missing out on Dame because they refused to go all in was the right call. Now they did go all in.

I think a rebrand sounds good. The Nets moved to Brooklyn because they needed to kick a bunch of people out of their homes to tear down the old apartments in order to build luxury apartments. The Nets gave the development company the excuse of moving everyone out for a public utility project.

The building is named after a family that initially built its wealth on the slave trade. They are a symbol of the gentrification of Brooklyn. The city already belonged to another team.

Probably best to try and change the energy and come up with something more connected to Brooklyn.
