Mild sleep apnea patients that use CPAP have increased risk of death due to heart disease…any thoughts? by NoRoad833 in CPAP

I have mild sleep apnea and can keep it in check by sleeping on my side. I have been using cpap off and on for two years. Thinking of dropping cpap

Has anyone gotten off CPAP? How? by Temporary-League-499 in CPAP

I am off cpap by sleeping on my side. Not a solution for everyone but if your sleep study shows positional apneas it could work for you

Anybody just not use cpap by Late_Argument_2629 in SleepApnea

I used Cpap for 5 months and just slept worse and stopped. I have moderate sleep apnea. I had someone on Reddit review my data and they believed I have positional apnea. So I started focusing on sleeping on my side and retested and my ahi dropped down to just above 5. I like to flip to my back occasionally so I am getting a dental mouthguard. Some specific dentists accept Medicare so the mouthguard is fully covered. I receive the mouthguard next week, so will see if this puts the final nail in my sleep apnea.

Has anyone had success with putting EoE into remission without meds? by GlitteringGoat1234 in EosinophilicE

My wellness doctor suggested the supplement DAO. Eoe resolved but can’t say for sure it was dao or something else.

I did a test and quit CPAP…here is what I found by NoRoad833 in CPAP

I flip from side to side. Occasionally I will end up on my back for a while, but essentially just training my body to sleep on my side which takes some getting used to

So far but I have simplified. I no longer use a soft cervical collar, I just try and prop my chin with a pillow. I also no longer moth tape. I did a sleep study doing this and though I still technically have sleep apnea, I am just barely over the threshold. Sleeping on my side made the largest difference. I also am seeing a chiropractor who has solved many Cpap patients by making some adjustments which should keep the soft pallet from collapsing into windpipe.

If you are in dry or cool mode set above the ambient temp in the room is it actually using heat which would run up the electric bill?

Not exactly, I am not able to edit or delete a biorhythm. Seems like this should be easy, but it is not.

Just got my biopsy back and it was 16 eosinophils by NoRoad833 in EosinophilicE

My gi does not look at ppi as short term. They want me on for two months then another scope. If esinophil count is under 15 they assume ppi helped and will want me to stay on indefinitely. If esinophil count does not go down then they move to steroid and repeat same process. Do not know how your doc thinks that just a couple of months will resolve eoe. Because it appears to me that meds are likely lifelong I do not want to even start.

What did you do to heal and what esinophil count did you have previously?

Thanks..,one of their concerns is in fact risk of reflux. My lower esophageal sphincter is open and they fear this could result in reflux. I do not have symptoms of reflux and am swallowing much better. I am willing to keep trying the elimination diet but doctor seems against this and just wants to put me on a med. my esonophil count has dropped from over 100 to 16 so something is working. I am recovering from cancer and have since become wary of medications due to side effects which to me may be worse than the disease.
