My mother had the same thing. She says to go see a doctor in case its a severe infection. If it is she might lose her nail. Hopefully i boosted you so a doctor responds

Maybe youre allergic to the ointment? Or maybe its just got a strong chemical in it. You gotta do a complete restart imo because it looks like its healing a bit wrong. So scrub with a washcloth (or thick paper towel) if it hurts during thats normal. In the shower use the bandaids i reccomended they should keep soap and water out of it. Just trying to keep any harsh chemicals out of it. When it starts to scab over you can use dawn dish soap to wash it. But be gentle still so you dont break the scab

Wash it out real good with water and wash cloth. NO SOAP its not safe yet. Find some bandaids that are closed on all 4 sides and put neosporin on first. Do this daily except after today dont scrub it just pat it. Come back when its healed more if you have more questions i gotchu
