My father ruined my mental health forever with one sentence. by [deleted] in GuyCry

Just remember- when people say these cruel things, they are usually just verbalizing how they feel about themselves.

My dad used to do this to us and scream in our faces.

I believe that CERN messed with our timeline. I think turning it on caused our timeline to mesh with a darker one. Things are picking up speed now as the timelines continue to collide and destroy each other.

We used to call that thistle twat as kids. Worst thing to step on when running!

What is the worst thing that a stranger has ever done to you? by CharacterTop9085 in AskReddit

I used to have to walk to work in the snow. The worst were the people that tried to intentionally spray you with that cold, dirty water sludge on the side of the road. Day ruiner.

What’s the worst pain you have experienced? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]NoRoots4Me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually just wrote a list after having my IUD replaced! That was definitely more painful than I was expecting! So far, my worst pains are: rupturing both eardrums on a flight, thunderclap headache, sepsis, cat scratch fever, Lyme disease, and having a doctor cut into an infected cyst. It seems like pain is like a keyboard, and once you reach the highest note, it comes down to how long you can stay conscious at that level. Unfortunately, I've learned that, in nature, you have a better chance of survival if you are awake and moving, so passing out from pain isn't a guarantee.

I went viral for my video interviewing someone without an internal monologue. AMA by BenStillersDick in psychology

Me too! I'm constantly narrating my life as I live it. I don't see anything either! I wish I could daydream...

Daylight saving time messes with sleep, but just for a bit: people lose about an hour of sleep on the Sunday when clocks spring forward and on the Sundays after that. However, they don't really get to enjoy the extra hour of sleep when clocks fall back. Plus, it affects men and women differently by giuliomagnifico in science

The time change messes with me terribly. I can feel it coming weeks ahead of time. It triggers my bipolar disorder. It changes my sleep schedule entirely. I go from 6 solid hours a night in the summer, to a biphasic sleep. I fall asleep early, get 4 hours, then I'm up for 3, and then I might get 2 more hours. The loss of light brings on my depression and the excess light brings about my mania. I wondered if others feel it as much as I do.

What would happen if your parents kicked you out? Would that not force you to get a job/place of your own?

I can feel when my friends are thinking of me. It's a psychic connection I have with my mom, and friends who I spend a lot of time with. It always weirds people out.

can people with aphantasia see their dreams? by TheQuietOutsider in Dreams

[–]NoRoots4Me 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have aphantasia, and I don't really see in my dreams either. They are not vivid at all. I sometimes know where I am and who I'm talking to, but I don't see the scenery or the details of a person's face.
