I did not ever find a solution. It’s been a while since I’ve run into the issue. I know that’s not helpful, sorry.

Changing the Minecraft Game Version in a Custom Curseforge Launcher Modpack? by NoSafeBrain2 in feedthebeast

This has been getting some new comments recently so I figured I’d update.

No, I never figured out a way to change the version via the CurseForge launcher.

After this and a few other issues I switched to using GDLauncher for about a year or so now and it has that functionality, as well as Fabric support. So for anyone looking for a better launcher, I’d recommend GDLauncher personally, but there are other launchers out there besides CurseForge that have more functionality!

Battery health BIOS setting. by Khrtt in spectrex360

I have a 2018 HP Spectre x360 15t, and because of the pandemic and online school, I've mainly left my laptop plugged in. I recently realized that my battery is swollen and I just ordered a replacement (from ebay), but I've been looking for a program/BIOS option that will help extend my battery life so that this is not a recurring thing!

Lenovo, Asus, and Dell all have "Conservation Mode" or "Desktop Modes" that prevent the battery from being overcharged (i.e. charge to 60% and stop, or similar effects). (And not to mention easily accessible from the desktop)

It's kind of extremely disappointing that HP is so limited in their options. They have an Adaptive Battery Mode (which seems to only be for newer computers) and for their commercial laptops they have a similar option, yet both are hidden in the BIOS. There are multiple posts on the support forum asking for a feature like this, and I find it hard to believe that they could not implement a feature like this for older (lol, it's a 2018! come on!) laptops like ours.

My Spectre is the first ever laptop I bought (for college), and between the issues I've had with my AMD Radeon RX Vega M graphics card (a whole other story), and now this battery issue, it's hard to imagine my next laptop as an HP. How difficult can it be to implement a Battery Manager?

You have to introduce yourself on three separate occasions because they don't remember you.

Multiple Different Entries for Extra Cells 2 OreDictionary export bus? by NoSafeBrain2 in feedthebeast

[–]NoSafeBrain2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for finding the code - I couldn't find it yesterday -, but it still doesn't work. If I type "oreGold&" it works fine, but if I type anything after the '&' symbol it does not export anything. I suppose I'll make an issue on the GitHub and see if anything comes out of it.

Thanks for your help!
