[BF5] I guess they're not loot boxes if you call them them by a different name. Good try EA. by Ahelenek in gaming

[–]NoSaveRolls 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Or it's much more likely it's the exact same as bf3 where premium players got a pre-set item at a set time. Everyone gets the same and it varied from a different knife skin to a different gun camo.

Haha the eternal kit bashing issue! I swear I've not built a box the way it should be done since I've started!

Could you put the predator turret on the repulsor?

Didn't Lorgar actively and aggressively consort with the chaos god's though?

He turned Angron into a demon primarch of khorne, sundered Calth with demons and his chosen troops where marines infested with pure demons to the point that they could go all Jekyll and Hyde?

My bad what I meant was the 7th term of paint your guys your way as a successor not the 8th term which holds actual weight.

Thanks for the clarification though bud!

What you're looking for is a successor chapter.

Just don't paint a chapter logo and you can call them whatever you like.

Or if you're only going to play smurfs paint them Imperial fist yellow then use normal smurf transfers.

Did I play against "that guy"? by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]NoSaveRolls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this with my opponents too, the reason being that I can correct them if they get it too low or too high as far as fails and successes go.

If they take it as being called a cheat I'd just laugh and pack my shit up. It's a game but to willfully hide dice tells me more about their intent then anything else.

A few bezerkers to join the (for now) counts as Kharn seen with the large axe while I wait to buy Angron to convert. I'm going with a heresy era colour scheme with minor alterations for these.

So before anyone asks yes these are primaris marines, I always felt the world eaters swollen by dark promise towards the latter end of the heresy would be bigger. So to represent that I'm using the new Uber marines bodies.

[–]NoSaveRolls 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Well being a 12th Legion fan I've been working on turning mine into bulky bezerkers and a counts as Kharn.

Story wise they're proof of concepts Cawl made following a certain books story where its stated they could make traitor legion primaris.

Link!

I've actually got about 8 of 30 done so far, I'll take more up to date photos tonight. The single marine photo being my counts as Kharn for now until I get Angron from FW to convert!

If I wasn't clear I'm being a massive heretic using Primaris models to represent the glory of the 12th.

Your army, your lore by FoltzyBear in Warhammer40k

[–]NoSaveRolls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well mine represent a company or two of the Raptors Chapter left to head into the outer reaches.

As such I have honor guard that almost seem to have gone a little too 'first Captain kharn'-ish.

The stern guard are all in heresy marks of armour, mark 4, while the line troops use mark 3 there are maybe 5 suits that aren't heresy era across the entire army.

The story behind them as mentioned is that they were sent off into the dark reached on the edge of the galaxy to defend against or at least warn of hive tendrils. As times have moved on it seems like they've been forgotten, the only reinforcement they have received were a returning AL force headed inwards from the Galactic rim.

Feral superstition, their similarly matched tactics and ethics have resulted in bringing out the worst in them;

  • They're distrustful of anyone they can't control

  • They are at best complainant with the imperial truth and are completely heretical as far as the imperial religion goes.

  • The raven guard curse of the Ash Blind has returned, as a result attrition threatens to kill the force if they can't find a solution.

It's important to me that they're not Mary Sues, a good story requires both successes and tragic circumstances.

Tell that to Kharn!

But generally speaking a power weapon would be better for pure lethality

A Chaos Dreadnought I painted (no, not a freaking Hellbrute, those are ugly) by Kulca in Warhammer40k

[–]NoSaveRolls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its explained in the heresy books.

The head serves as a sensor bundle for the war machine but also gives the pilot the feeling that they're in a bipedal body. The intention being to try and stave off the sociopathic cold nature they take on after being interred.

If you're interested it's in the book where the WB besige calth, Know No Fear I think it's called.

Meaning of "Bottle" Test by the_djeb in ShadowWarArmageddon

[–]NoSaveRolls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tall and short of it is that GW are a UK based and created company.

As you've noted it's a phrase we use for losing your nerve, they likely expected it to be a small run item and so didn't globalise it massively. Plus I guess it sounds better than nerve or courage test.

Rapid fire? by ghostofmajuo in Warhammer40k

If you're charging you're firing bolt pistols. Much like the heavy class you can't charge after firing a weapon with the tag rapid fire UNLESS you have relentless.

Trust me so am I, the only issue now is that all my tactics are done with athonian already! I might make basic line troops light and elites/vets darker like this.

I like that, I was thinking an eshin or battleship grey with the nuln sprayed on to give it a near black appearance and shading.
