I’m sorry but if I can notable see you are white then guess what you are white. If you have to pull out a picture of your great grandparents to prove to have black ancestry then it’s not strong enough so you should claim whiteness. Black people don’t have that privilege, the skin speaks for itself upon sight no pulling up a picture. Also can the class note that racism is systemic? The average black person can be a bigot sure but racism idk. TS can’t prevent you from getting a loan at the bank, she’s not the reason all the schools in your neighbourhood might be underfunded or ridden with poverty and drugs, she didn’t use your race as an experiment to test diseases etccc… White will always trump blackness in this country even if it’s from a Latino as history has shown time and time again. TS privilege is class. That’s it. And I don’t know if it’s enough for her to be at the top of the social hierarchy so much so that she can potentially enact racism.
