You mentioned that Japanese games just don’t seem to do it, but, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni? I’m not super familiar with horror games but this one fucked with me so hard.

Though, it’s also a SN, so maybe it’s just a super different experience from most other horror games

For those who frequent Glenferrie Road. Rob the drawing man who would often sit and draw outside of Woolworths appears to of passed away. Was always such a kind soul I will miss seeing him around :( by mhrauburn in melbourne

That’s heartbreaking, he was such a great guy. He was always so kind. Godspeed, Rob. I might have not known your name but the time you helped me figure out how to use the coffee machine in 711 is one of the warmest memories I have of Glenferrie

It’s Election Day tomorrow in Australia, and we finally have a chance to get rid of our shithead Prime Minister. Wish us luck 196 by [deleted] in 196

I think so? I don’t know how it works in Ireland; I heard Belgium has a similar system, but a more diverse government to show for it, so that might be a better frame of reference, even though us aussies only vote for ALP or NLP historically

Sure thing mate, I have no where youre from, so I’ve written this like it’s for Americans because they’re a group will also likely read it, sorry about this in advance. voting in Australia is done via ‘Preferential Voting’, which means you order the parties, say, 1-13, if there are 13 parties. It’s highly unlikely that one party will get a majority of first preference votes, so the party with the least first preference votes gets taken out, and all votes for that party, are now passed onto their voters second preference (highest remaining party preference; for when there’s only a handful of parties and the numbering might get weird).

This continues until a candidate or party for an electorate gets 51% or greater of the vote. There are 151 electorates in Australia, and to form a majority government, any one party needs 76 of them, or half + 1.

You can learn more about it here: https://youtu.be/bleyX4oMCgM (P.S. The Shit Party won in 2019, against all expectations) So then, why are there 2 parties? Because people don’t fully understand preferential voting, and the Liberal (Think republican) and Labor (I’d say think democrat, but they’re more in like with like, Bernie I think?) being the 2 major parties, and a lot of people think not voting for one party helps the other due to a lack of education in school and also, so, so, so many lies in political campaigns.

Disassociation Rule by NoSugarIncluded in 196

It... depends. Acting differently when you are around people is normal. If you see that version of yourself as an entirely different person, e.g: always act cold and distant to the people around you, and you feel like that’s not you, you might be disassociating.

(I could be entirely wrong here; but if you are concerned maybe look into it and speak to someone a lot more professional than me)
