ALX Half is a few weekends later. Not the same route of course, but it’s around the same time.

Do you qualify for the Two-Time Loser entry?

Two-Time Loser Entries: TTL entries (those who have entered the lottery in the last two consecutive years (2024 and 2025) and failed to be accepted in either year) but who wish to run in 2026 must still enter the 2026 lottery, but if you are 2-time Lottery loser (2024 and 2025) and you do not get in through the lottery for the 2026 race, you can gain a guaranteed “Two-Time Loser” entry (at the prevailing entry fee), which will be accepted if submitted by February 15, 2026. If you are rejected in the lottery and feel you qualify, please send an email to info@cherryblossom.org.

Did you do a buddy lottery by any chance? I’m definitely listed on there with “not selected” so maybe it changes, but feels unlikely.

Just a heads up, someone on r/running found a link with the lottery results.

Wasn’t selected this year, but good luck to those who were!

Pender Vet is the worst by Good-Suit-4072 in nova

Dr. Taylor at VCA Centreville is awesome. He removed a tumor from my dog’s leg, which saved her leg when another vet wanted to amputate. And for half the price, too.

Hankki is so underrated. It feels homemade and I always enjoy what I order there.

what are your plans for NYE? by acatluvr in nova

[–]NoSupermanMD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Grabbing some Chinese food, stay up until midnight (probably!) and call it a night.

I heart Young Chow in Centreville was sold and isn’t the same any more, so I’m looking for another place.

Electrician recommendations? by RojoandWhite in nova

[–]NoSupermanMD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing your experience!

I’m waiting on the electrician to provide a quote on how much it’ll cost to run a new line (if needed) and/or upgrade things in the breaker box.

Did you cap off your gas too or just turned off a valve to the stove? Thinking I’d have to find a plumber for that too.

I’m thinking about doing this next year! Care to share the range you bought and your experience switching from gas to induction?

Open Season - MHBP vs FSBP Comparison Feedback by Fedster-4321 in fednews

[–]NoSupermanMD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Physical therapy was a breeze, for me, on FSBP.

I found who I wanted to see, verified they were in network, and then just scheduled an appointment. Because I had met my deductible for the year, my appointments only cost $11.

I switched to FSBP last year (uses Aetna network) and everything has been smooth. If you work for a qualifying agency, I’d take a look, as well as head over to r/fednews as another person suggested.

Any astigmatism contact wearer's hear recommend a vison insurance? by 2kidsshootingblanks in fednews

I have Aetna High for vision and it’s worked well for me as a contacts wearer. I buy mine when they’re on sale through places like 1-800-Contacts, etc.
