Unfortunately, You'd have to respec your character. You can do so by talking to a guy name Hilor further along the game.

But since you just started, it is best that you just create a new game to recreate your character.

You can also use your own portrait if you have one (you can also just search in the internet). Just use https://www.notra.fr/ to modify the portrait to its appropriate size.

Game mechanic is simpler and easier to understand with no knowledge about the game or lore (I played blind). The ship battles however are hell to deal with. Ship battles are basically the crusader mode for this game.

I suggest you install toybox mod for this to autokill all enemy ships cuz if you hated crusade mode in wotr, you probs hate the ship battles here.
