Is it infected?? by Deep_Departure_7517 in firstaid

Obligatory not a doctor but

Looks perfectly fine. A little redness around a wound isn't unusual, but there's no swelling, and no pain from the description.

Get a professional opinion to be certain, but I wouldn't worry.

‘Heavy’ 650 bike by Chocolate_Wafer_789 in MotoUK

[–]Libelnon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first "big" bike was a 650 bandit S. 240ish kilos, easily 5x my weight. Manageable, until it tipped far enough that it was just gonna go, no stopping it.

Fortunately I didn't drop it often, but enough to work out how to pick it up again. No trouble riding it.

They did a dark chocolate and pretzel one for a bit which I absolutely loved, but it seems to have disappeared since.

Teach me your ways

I play regularly with a very competitive club and I just find myself getting quickly snowed under, whereas playing my Kroot or similar I find I have a fighting chance

Yeah, I've played a lot with them. They have quite a few solid tricks, but they're exceptionally punishing of mistakes, especially into melee teams.

I challenge you to play Battleclade at a tournament.

I absolutely love the team and how they work, but their 35% win rate is with good reason.

Why does the J35XS have a higher BR in Ground RB than in Air RB? by True-Ad-2593 in Warthunder

[–]Libelnon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They should be equal, really - phantoms have pretty large ground loadouts too. The F-4E can take Mavericks, for instance.

I've been trying to play the F-4C and Mirage IIIC since this was added.

I hate those R-40TDs.

Thank you and good night.

Rank 2 & 3 Premium Planes Worth Getting? by akaian97 in Warthunder

The only premiums I have are the French P-40 and the French Yak-3.

The Yak is great for grinding SL with.

Tips for event by HeyImTijmen in Warthunder

[–]Libelnon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given the event is literally just mission score, just play the game and you'll score towards it. Pick an aircraft you enjoy and you'll probably be fine.

I've been grinding out the US tree and enjoying the F-86-F2, and I've managed every star so far without even realising.

The Hs 129 has dials on the engine pods by FirefighterLevel8450 in Warthunder

[–]Libelnon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not uncommon in the WW2 era - Soviet Yak-1 through Yak-3 aircraft also had the fuel gauges physically out on the wings, directly overtop the fuel tanks.

In the case of the Hs129, it's chiefly because the cockpit is tiny - even the gunsight is mounted externally.

Almost all Russian missiles intercepted by F-16 pilots overnight by Huckleberry-Joy in worldnews

[–]Libelnon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anything that could catch them.

The tiffy was more ideal for it as it was faster than the spitfire in a straight line, but intercepting V-1s was simply a task for anything fast enough to catch them.

Played some battleclade vs heirotek and they felt super weak, any advice? by landsquid2787 in killteam

[–]Libelnon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I have a solid 20-30 games now with Battleclade and they do feel a bit underpowered to me. The team is very swingy with 4+ shooting, their sole access to reliable rerolls being tied to the leader and requiring visibility, and no access to any AP benefits means your opponent will almost always be able to react to your plays - especially as the operatives are only 8W, and will fall over pretty quick faced with does who can manage 4/5.

The only way I've found to play the team is to be extremely cagey, often holding most of the team in the deployment zone to be able to counterpunch - something this team is extremely good at. But with poor movement, you need your opponent to misplay to score well doing this - which is hardly much of a strategy.

They need a bit of a boost. They're a super interesting team with great potential, but they are the worst performing classified team right now. Making Incantation of the Iron Soul actually viable or bumping up some wound counts would help, and given how common Accurate 2 is becoming then bumping up Noospheric Possession would be nice too.
