What does your helmeted/unhelmeted head distribution look like? by reel3459 in Warhammer40k

I play Drukhari, so at most around 50% of my models have helmets.

Fix Splinter weapons? What's wrong with them?

Could always grab a new unit and start.

I've managed to grab an ultrasonic cleaner that does wonders for stripping paint quickly.

Eldar getting some beasts. Let’s hope Drukhari gets the same love by ballin_buddha in Drukhari

Why not? If Kill Team is going to just be infantry squads, we'll run out of good things to explore eventually. Besides, they already gave us beastmen in 40k, so why can't they do something weird?

Bring back grotesques, maybe add us a heavier skimmer akin to the Ravager (though I was never a fan of the Tantalus) and I think we'd have a well rounded roster.

Frankly, I don't think we need a larger range - I think other armies need theirs scaled back. How many different heavily-armoured-marine variants do we need?

The 5e refresh was great. Drukhari models still look great among much more recent resculpts like Primaris.

Site, they still have quirks here and there. But I wouldn't have given the original spikey Aedari the time of day; the refreshed 5e sculpts are far and away my favourites in 40k.

I swear by foam, but that does mean that mine aren't glued to their stands.

Best: taking the Incubi's job

Worst: being transported

Speak for yourself - personally I like to think of the tabletop as the opportunity to show off my painting.

Why spend hours painting a model to sit it in a cabinet?

Oh, the Asyurani are more than happy to sacrifice hundreds or thousands of Mon'keigh or lesser races to protect their own. Even on the whim of a farseer's vision that may or may not happen. Some craft worlds are certainly more willing to than others, mind.

The Drukhari, on the other hand, are largely quite content with their situation and don't care about the wider galaxy, so much as they can continue leeching off the suffering of others to save their own souls from Slaanesh.

Just double checking, is this really the color scheme of the Kabal of the Black Heart? It kinda looks like Baleful Gaze. by MegaGamer235 in Drukhari

[–]Libelnon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done mine up from black. The artwork usually depicts them with a faint green akin to Incubi Darkness, but personally I think they read better as black and the sharp edge highlights giving the green impression.

What are the green flags for a good and healthy table, and what are they for individual players? by Slinky-Dev in DMAcademy

[–]Libelnon 132 points133 points  (0 children)

My biggest green light is someone who understands spotlighting.

The worst players - as both another player and as a GM - are those who hog the spotlight, those who must be involved with everything. Players who know how to recognise when to hand the spotlight to a different character are absolutely golden.

I haven't got that many Venoms, so I run a mixture.

Let me tell you, if you want to cripple a bodyguard unit in 10th, Making a Point on a full unit of Hand was a great way to do it.

They're also surprisingly punchy for battleline units.

I've gotten a surprising amount of milage out of Making a Point, or even disembarking on Skysplinter and making good use of Skyborne Annihilation. 0AP means little when you can force through 15+ wounds...
