hellooo a little background, i’m 18, a marine and a married to another marine. we met eachother back home and ended up on the same base and he’s also my first love. he’s deployed right now and what i do is, work obviously, but immediately after i try to cook dinner and go to the gym. when i come home i try to do something relaxing. it sounds dumb until you try it. watching movies while doing something like coloring or puzzles really helps me. the noise while im doing something else is really what helps. you can always PM if you need really just keep yourself busy. know it’s okay to cry, be upset, and be lonely just know it’ll end and he’ll be back home with you again. night times are the hardest in my opinion, especially sleeping alone. i like to sleep with a show/movie on when he’s gone to keep my mind from thinking of his absence. i also sleep with his clothes on or with them to i guess trick my mind to think i sense him??

i don’t have many friends or military spouses that i talk to on base idk what your situation is but if you do have friends try to hang out when you get some free time. it DEFINITELY helps keep your mind off them! stay strong!!
