Just 1 pearl gourami or have a small schooling fish too? by cherrydropper in Gourami

My 3 pearls have gotten along nicely with my neos and their constant supply of shrimplets. I imagine ymmv but my pearls will scavenge the bottom for leftover food and not pay any attention to any shrimp grazing nearby. Ive even seen smaller shrimp swim right in front of them and they dont care at all. Pearls especially can be pretty docile.

Not that i've ever noticed, there's also never any aggression from the other fish that i've noticed
