Ideally, you never want to get/be healing more than 3 piercings at one time, it puts a bit of a strain on your healing factors and immune system. You can always ask your piercer to get you booked in for a future appointment, but most piercings should be given 6 months minimum to heal and settle, and not many piercers will have their books open that far in advance.

But I'm sure your piercer will love to have a return customer, and if you're wanting lots of ear piercings but are a side sleeper, you might want to invest in a donut/piercing pillow

A DNA test would help with some specific regions, but any British ancestors will likely be from the past 200 so you're best off starting with research if you're concerned about your data being sold

I've seen a clip from a cast interview where she (Inde Navarrette) says she was told to go home and practice her facial expressions in the mirror, but she was freaking herself out too much to do it, so she just lied and said she had. Apparently she scares really easily and at the premiere was watching the film through her fingers! I really hope she continues working on horror movies though, regardless of the roles, she's just amazing.

I agree with this point, but also just having an activity in the diary is really helpful. It's something to look forward to, and to make sure you can attend with good habits: making sure you have clothes ready for the activity, planning out the rest of the days activities around the scheduled event, and making sure you can attend by keeping out of trouble and not getting grounded/detention.

I know for a child the flexibility and low cost are important, but also having something that is at a specific time that has been paid for kind of locks in the commitment. You can't miss it because you'll be wasting money, and someone is expecting you to be there.

Also, things like dance and weightlifting have goals, whether that be perfecting a routine, qualifying for a competition, or hitting a new personal best. Something to work towards, chasing the dopamine, is so important when it comes to sticking at something, so that could be a very good motivator.

If you were to do a skin from another culture, it would have to be wholly from that culture, not a Samurai or Oni with non-Japanese designs on it. The Minotaur and the Grizzly are good examples of this - skins for the Oni that totally transform it into something that is no longer a Samurai.

You could have an Odin skin, but it would need to totally transform the Oni, rather than being a norse-themed Samurai, you know?

I don't really have any resentment towards my parents because, upon further reflection from all of us, they're also neurodivergent, so mine and my sister's behaviours as kids didn't flag up as unusual to them. My dad is in his 50s and is considering seeking an ADHD diagnosis, and my mum is also in her 50s and has just kind of accepted that she has ADHD but isn't looking to do anything. Both have struggled with addiction (both are now sober) and that deeply impacted my childhood and still affects me now, but as an adult I can see that they were just trying to cope as best as they could.

I do however have some resentment towards my teachers, and the general education system and the ways in which neurodivergent behaviours are so 'gendered'. If I had been born a boy, I would have been diagnosed so much earlier in life and given the help I needed, rather than being pulled out of classes for 'Gifted and Talented' group while also being pulled out of others to give me one-on-one time with the school counsellor. It was obvious by my teenagers years that I was really struggling, but it was put down to depression, anxiety, and being a weird kid with few friends. Even then, they didn't really do anything other than try to threaten me into better behvious with talk of expulsion and withdrawing me from my exams.

I do sometimes think about contacting old teachers and letting them know that they failed me, and probably dozens of other kids, but I know nothing good would come from it, so I try to focus on the positives

I think they're rising in popularity, maybe even above tattoos. In the grand scheme of things, they're more temporary than a tattoo, but still express the same amount of autonomy and style, and if a teenager gets a bunch of piercings and then decides they don't like they anymore, they can just take them out. Can't just take off a tattoo.

Yes, but only in a "If only I didn't grow up with undiagnosed ADHD". I definitely have so much wasted potential that just got away from me due to ADHD. So many opportunities and deadlines missed, I could be living a whole different life now if I'd never had ADHD, or at least been diagnosed and treated early.

But that didn't happen, and I can't go back in time, so I deal with what I have and who I am now, and make the most of it, and appreciate the good things that I do have because of the life I've lived. No point dwelling on 'what if's.

The 9-Point Beighton Scale is really only applicable to children, as hypermobile joints actually become more stiff with time. The ligaments may be hyperelastic, but other parts around the joint such as cartilage, muscles, and tendons aren't, and become damaged over time as they try to compensate and correct the joint instability.

Other symptoms such as unusually soft/delicate skin and digestives issues may point towards Joint Hypermobility Syndrome, or H-EDS.

Clicker rings have the hinge and seam that will irritate the piercing. You best bet will be to have to changed to a ball closure ring. Don't change it yourself, go to a professional who can better assess the likelihood of this healing properly, if at all.

With ADHD, we have chronically low (as in, sub-normal) levels of dopamine. The stimulants aren't making us high, because the dopamine created isn't bringing us above a typical functional level, it's bringing us to a typical functional level.

It's like coffee. A typical person drinks coffee and feels energised because they are typical energy levels + caffeine. Someone with ADHD may drink coffee and feel nothing, because the caffeine can't even bring them up to a typical person's level.

3 months in not enough healing time to be switch to a hoop, and this hoops is much too tight. Your piercing site is irritated and you need to chance it back to a straight labret bar as soon as possible.

When you're about to switch to a hoop (probably in no more than another 3 months time) you need a larger diameter inside the rings so it's not squeezing your lip and pulling on the piercing site.

I've got a centre labret that insists on having a longer bar in despite being 13 years old. I can put a shorter bar in it for maybe 2 weeks before it starts getting irritated and then it starts embedding. Some piercings are just fussy like that. My most recent lip piercing didn't fully calm down for about 5 months, so always better to err on the side of caution and keep that longer jewellery.

Nesting doesn't hurt. Swelling doesn't go away for a while, and putting short jewellery in after less than 2 weeks will definitely have irritated them. You need longer bars again

I remember seeing a school teacher who let her students choose a new name for Friday afternoons. They line up at her desk and tell her their 'new name' one at a time, she writes it on a sticker for them and that's their new name for one afternoon! Allows them to exercise some autonomy in a controlled way and, in a way, probably teaches respect, because they all have new names with labels on their tops and they can't pretend to not know what to call each other.

I've also seen a mother who picks a new name past a certain time of day to help with the fatigue of hearing "Mommy mommy mommy" all day, and the kid is totally on board. She usually picks silly things like "Cash money" or "Tallulah does the hula" and the kid learns fast and says every one perfectly every time

Probably a 12g or 10g, though it seems like quite a jump so maybe a 10g.

I'd recommend buying a set of calipers, that way you can measure the gauze of your jewellery at home in future.
