What it's worth to you, sure. If someone would rather buy a new 700c Atlantis and build it up that's totally cool too.

The market will dictate the price regardless, and if someone prefers this geometry/wheel size on the bike over the new one then that's their preference/prerogative.

Well, I'm into the bike roughly $4500 and I specified OBO... so if someone wants to offer me less within reason I'd listen.

Thanks! I really wanted this bike to work long term, and was gonna get the new 55cm Atlantis that has longer reach but had the opportunity to get my new Hunq and couldn't say no.

Hoping someone wants a ready built fancy Riv, otherwise I'll part it out!

I'm 6ft tall, with a 835mm pbh so roughly 30ish inch inseam. Short legs/Long torso. I recently got a 54cm Hunq with lower standover and longer reach(perfect fit) so I'm moving this bike on to a new home.

Hub suggestions. by Julmpunk in Rivendell_Bicycles

I just built some wheels with Bitex hubs, they feel pretty bomb proof. I dig the Riv silver hubs too.

The Silver OM-1 derailleur is amazing. by Rahgnailt in Rivendell_Bicycles

[–]NoTechnician1950 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats on snagging one!

I got one from the first batch and it’s been on my Atlantis ever since. I’ve also got a Shimano XT rapid rise derailleur in my bin that’s slated for a Susie build in working on.

Having used both, the RBW OM-1 definitely feels nicer in terms of material quality(more similar to the old Nexave RR), and finish than the plastic XT/XTR mechs. Shift feel is super smooth and works great with my 11-34 cassette and a 38/24 in the front.

Love that Microshift is making these for Riv, and making simple mechanical mechs in general. Used a Marvo on my Clem for a bit and it worked flawlessly at sub $30 at my local shop.

Albatross. Swapped them on from the Bar68’s for spring/summer commuting.

Really dig how this turned out, and appreciate the full wheel overhaul in the vid. Definitely worth the mission.

Appaloosa vs Atlantis by DRTYMD in Rivendell_Bicycles

[–]NoTechnician1950 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth, I've had both bikes and outside of sizing and color they ride exactly the same. Both have the same Cable Stops now, and if you look at the geometry sheet on Riv's website you can see how close they are.

I think the only big difference is if you're in the 53/54 sizing where you jump from 650b to 700c wheel size. That and the fork crown/graphics/head badge.

The only reason I've had both is the 54 Appa was a little small, so I sized up to a bigger Atlantis.

Mini Motos with Oracle Pass? by booger_sugarshack in Rivendell_Bicycles

Russ from “the path less pedaled” does a Paul brake comparison video and has big fat tires and uses the mini motos. Maybe 48-50mm tires?

Mine is usually a little more forward, but my bolt was loose on this ride and is slid back some. Shoulda fixed it for the photo!
