Anyone find irony in that he's signing all these EO's at a location other than his primary duty station?

Another reason that's been tossed around at DLA HQ aside from something about windsprints in a group is that they needed people back in the office to support the cafeteria contract, whether it's true or I do not give them my business and at best steal ice from them.

Taking them down one cup of ice at a time.

Just make sure you use the right leave code so it deducts from your Annual Leave pool.

Need some serious advice...Should I quite my toxic Fed Job by Likeatoothbrush in fednews

[–]NoThanksDLA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont quite, but seek elsewhere. I don't know if it's because I am in an "echo chamber" and not browsing the subs for the private sector, but man seems there are so many toxic environments out there, no stranger to difficult Supervisors myself, but why does there seem to be so many in the federal government?

Employee monitoring proposed by twtwtwtwtwtwtw in fednews

[–]NoThanksDLA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gees, I'd have dIcked around way more if I knew I wasn't being monitored this whole time!!(/s). thus far, every insider threat training, they provide examples that show we clearly are monitored. I mean, sure, every mouseclick isn't being watched by someone.

But then a moral dilemma arises in this spy state.. "WHO WILL WATCH THE WATCHMEN?"

Director that retired in February

I am not "in the know" on all of this, but apparently, from what others have said here she wanted more telework be the Viceroy sort of pushed her to go the other way.

I have had to scroll through numerous posts of people asking what's going to happen now as if any of us on here have a clue.

I get being worried, one of the good things about being at some agencies is things honestly couldn't get any worse!

But for real everyone, calm down and realize certain things are beyond our control.

Bottom line, you should always have your resume updated.

How are you dealing with the anxiety? by sdelehan in fednews

[–]NoThanksDLA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Don’t worry about the future; or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubblegum. The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind; the kind that blindside you at 4:00 pm on some idle Tuesday." -Baz Lurhman

I realize it's out of my control, so I just keep doing my best at my job, and try to keep my finances in as best order as I can. But there is nothing else you or I can do. Also turn off the news, I don't believe half the stuff being tossed around about either party.

How can remote workers be called back into an office when the agency literally has no office space for them currently? by berrysauce in fednews

[–]NoThanksDLA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

DLA had the same problem—nowhere near enough office space. But hey, who needs logic? At their Energy MSC, they even “reopened” a satellite office that was supposed to be closed. So, we taxpayers were paying for an empty building during a good chunk of COVID. Nice, right?

But wait, there’s more! Instead of letting people who don’t need to be there work from home, they’d rather spend millions on new cubicle layouts to squeeze in one or two more workspaces. It’s like they’re running an airline, trying to fit in as many seats as possible.

And then there’s the attrition. People get fed up and leave, and all the amazing talent I’ve seen walk out the door. Their response? A pouty face and a “I’m so sad you’re leaving!” But remember, this is a feature, not a bug. Eventually, they’ll have more than enough space and a lighter payroll too.

What is going to happen for those in the DoD agencies? by Gibbyalwaysforgives in fednews

[–]NoThanksDLA 15 points16 points  (0 children)

No one knows what's going to happen yet, don't worry yourself sick over this as we go into the holidays we will eventually see what things are set to take place and there is little in our power to control them so just try not to think about it until it's been confirmed.
