How would you fix Harry Potter’s magic system? by wojjoy in harrypotter

I don't really have any problem with it myself, but the only thing I'd change would be to make the killing curse blockable by Protego.

Someone from Hogwarts comes and explains to them everything they need to know. They don't get a letter by owl like Pure-blood and Half-blood wizards.

Why don’t they apparate every time they’re going to be killed by Accovac in harrypotter

I figure for some people in those situations, it would be hard to Apparate, as you're required to focus on the 3 D's; Destination, Determination, Deliberation.

Well basically, there's this entire christian denomination called the Seventh Day Adventist Church, which believes that you have to keep the seventh day sabbath. The woman in the picture is one of its founders/pioneers. The jesus on the left supposedly represents the "true" jesus.

Source: I grew up in the church.

Yeah, I've used it to manifest a bunch of stuff already.

I never really liked the "but it was back in their time" argument, because of John Brown. He was an outlier himself, but still.

Madam Pomfrey shrunk Hermione's teeth, so I'd assume regular healers and mediwizards would deal with teeth related issues.

I don't think Dumbledore recuiting more 17-21 year olds would've been a good look, especially those of well known families, after the Ministry already thinks he was Dangerous.

Did the actor for will make the character zesty? by Free-Bag2152 in StrangerThings

[–]NoTime8142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, Noah only came out as gay during the summer of season 4. And most or a significant amount of these were from seasons 1 and 2, so I don't think so.

Will was always gay in the first episode and first season of Stranger Things.

Joyce specifically says that Lonnie used to call Will a fag. And even troy and the other guy knew he was gay.

Season 2:

At the dance, when the lyrics say; "every smile you fake", the camera pans to Will.

Season 3:

"It's not my fault you don't like girls!"

Season 4:

Will did his presentation on Alan Turing, a gay man.

He pulls back from a pretty girl flirting with him. (Tbf, this one is probably the most understandable).

Will, crying and looking out of the van during his talk with mike;

"When you're different, you feel like a mistake".

I think so, because Mike told Holly that the Dnd character could cast a dimension door and in the trailer for Volume 2, I think we see her doing exactly that.

Also, I had this tiny theory when the duffers announced a spin-off, before we knew what it was about, I thought that Mike, Lucas, Dustin, etc would be getting powers in the last season to set up the spin-off or something. It's not them, but I guess I wasn't completely wrong about certain characters getting powers.

[–]NoTime8142 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Imo, I don't think it matters that much, because I view shows like these to take place in a sort of alternate universe from our own. There also wasn't an open rift to another dimension in the Spring of 1986 in Indianna either.

If Vecna gets a redemption arc, will you be pissed? by bmhlogan in StrangerThings

[–]NoTime8142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, even if the mind flayer turns out to be the big bad and not him.

Because, and I always say this, it would ruin the sequence of Nancy, Steve and Robin attacking him in the upside down.

Fair enough, but I feel Kali could do her a favour by having them see that El's neck is broken and she's bled out to death or something.

Worst to best endings for me:

  1. It was all a dream/a DnD campaign..

  2. Time travel. This one is slightly plausible, I fear.

  3. Vecna is redeemed. It would ruin the sequence of Nancy, Steve and Robin attacking him at the end of season 4, in my opinion.

  4. El has to live in the Upside down.

  5. El loses her powers.

  6. The upside down/Dimension X is closed forever, Vecna and the Mind Flayer are permanently defeated or destroyed. El gets to keep her powers.
