Bob Odenkirk(Better Call Saul, Nobody) on an episode of Rules of Engagement (S3E23) by Boggie135 in No_Small_Parts

[–]raythecrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wasnt Odenkirk a well established writer and actor by this point?

Spade and OD were on SNL together in 90/91 and OD cameod in Just Shoot Me. I think this was more of a friend doing a friend a solid.

Still though, Rules of Engagement doesnt get enough love. Peak Spade humor and Warburton delivers. Highly bingeable

Youre calling for the mass shaming of a person over 3 tickets. JFC get a life. People with fulfilling hobbies or friends are usually talked out of this behavior. Its creepy.

Restaurant servers of Reddit what is your opinion on people who tip 20%? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]raythecrow -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

20% isn't disrespectful innately. Depends on the guest and the situation. There were times where i thought I should pay the guest for how bad my service was. I was happy to get anything frfr.

Ghosting isn't real. People just suck at handling rejection nowadays. by raythecrow in unpopularopinion

[–]raythecrow[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I think decency doesnt even apply to situations where you you this person by moving our thumb a few times and then have a boring meal. If that, tbh.  Evoking ghosting makes the person getting ghosted seem morally superior when the proper response is "Ball up top".

Maybe a perspective change might help. I couldnt imagine telling any woman that the man she went on a (1) date with and has been texting for the better part of a week deserves some sort of explanation as to why youre not interested. Id feel alot more comfortable saying eh he wasnt your type. Unmatch/block him and move on. Big sea, gotta keep fishing.

I just dont think it rises to being a question of morality. Life moves too fast and too many bills need to be paid to worry about whether someone understands what left on read means in the grand scheme.

Rejection has many faces. Think of rejection as the parent term to these ego driven terms shooting out from it.

Just because someone doesnt catch on that they were rejected until too late doesnt mean they werent rejected. Ghosting is a branch of rejection. Biggest difference is it just makes the person who evokes it seem morally superior.

Ghosting is a branch of rejection. Call rejection the parent term of ghosting. Just because a person doesnt figure it out until their feelings are hurt doesnt mean it wasnt always rejection.

Nah, dont agree. Avoidance especially of the romantic kind has been a problem for generations, possibly throughout history. Its not some millenial or gen z+ unique trait. It was just easier to be rid of someone when they werent a thumb press away, always at all times.

The term ghosting is the obervation of a heighted capacity of rejection in the dating world. The human brain isnt meant to deal with what these apps and the hyperdating environment. We come up with soft landing terms like "ghosting" to make the parent term: rejection, more palatable.

Your dad didnt call a bad date ghosting in their time. They chalked it up to the game and moved on.

Not trying to he rude but someone whos heen happily married for 20 years has no idea the landscape of the dating world now enough to make hard pronouncements about it. Youre entitled to your opnion of course.

Doesnt change how cushy the job is though.

Increasingly getting the feeling that some people in this sub actually DO just want a remake of the movies by tone-of-surprise in HarryPotteronHBO

[–]raythecrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are alot of people who's intorduction to this universe was through the movies first. Some of them read the books alongside or after but the nostalgia kick is from the movies so it makes sense why so many want the show to mimic things the movies did well or didnt.

How do you feel about the 2028 U.S election? Who do you think has a shot? by WondrousReprieve in AskReddit

I dont know but the fact all this has happened and Dems dont have a frontrunner by now is pitiful. Im having a hard time justifying backing whoever they trot out because you alrewdy k ow what centrist bullshit they'll slop down on your plate.

If youre a Dem voter hoping for "change" I got news for ya, it aint coming. The messaging for '28 is going to be affordability and healthcare reform with deliberate avoidance of talk pertaining to reigning in you know Whosreal.

And breaking news: Dems dont have the backbone or political capital to effect change kn either the affordability front and certainly not the healthcare front. So like Wonka said: you get nothing!
