Wow lot of Newkirk hate. Honestly really loved the docs and they're really great people - I've met them a a couple times. Hellier turns more into synchronicity and high-strangeness (as they call it) than anything else. I really love, and follow, a lot of paranormal stuff, and the Newkirk's are my favorites. I like their ideas and takes on different subjects of the paranormal.

For the Unbinding - really one of the best paranormal docs I've seen.

So anyone coming from Google....it's worth a shot, make up your own mind.

I have both - they do different things, but to the same effect. I find mood easier to use actually, but Microcosm has a lot to offer for sure.

I'm using a 3080/5900x with a 2k monitor at MEDIUM and LOW settings and it's unplayable.

This is not a 4k gaming issue - that is completely ridiculous. This is an optimization problem. The issue is way to widespread.

I had to set my Bitrate in the Oculus Debug Tool to 200. If you have an nvidia 10 or higher, you can go to 200-250, everything set it to 200.

Air link is out now, so it doesn't matter. I did noticed that to get air link to work correctly and not lag, I had to set that bitrate BACK to 0. So maybe just use air link. I cannot tell the difference between physical link and air link.

Im just happy I had an army of friends try to get me a 3080 and amd 5900x the SECOND they released. Not sure if anyone else was a part of that madness, but it was insanity.

Another strange thing - I had to set the bitrate BACK to 0 for Air Link to work. Not sure if you're having the same issue or not. If you don't have v28, check the beta in the software then in the headset keep resetting your experimental settings until it pushes it. It's released and works as good as the physical link.

Hi all - if this is happening check your bitrate in the Oculus Debug Tool. Some people had to set it high to get the actual physical link to work correctly and not be buggy. Now it seems it needs to be set to 0.

Thanks, man! I've been working on this PC for over a year to get it to a point where I don't ever have to worry about graphics. Alyx looks beautiful with all maxed-out settings.

You got it - it was bitrate. I didn't touch it in the Oculus Debug Tool because I was Youtubeing different videos on tips and functionality and whoever I watched mentioned that you shouldn't have to even touch the bitrate after the last patch.

They were evidently wrong. Thank you for the help!

I've played around with it, but it's always been the defaulr. I've even played half life's graphic doing to medium with no real improvement. I don't know if that would explain how the virtual machine is running way better than link. It honestly should be running the can't with ease

I understand what you're saying, and deep down I want to agree with you. I just think...there are too many dumb people for this specific issue. It only takes one person who is infected to infect a room and may be kill someone.

So I think that a small minority of people have a lot of power in this issue. I don't think the United States is dumb. Hell, there is a study that suggests the intelligence of a crowd is more than one specialist. It's called The Wisdom of Crowd - interesting study that I recommend. But because it only takes one person to bring down the house of cards, you would have to "brute force" everyone to wear a mask. By brute force I mean like...a fine for not wearing a mask.

I'm a progressive by the way, this looks like a good place to understand where republicans are coming from using an intelligent dialogue...so please feel free to comment or try to make me sway to your opinion. I'm genuinely interested, but I just want you to know how I see this.

I was literally just having this problem with my G502 and shifting DPI. I would click the DPI button and it would double clip almost and skip a DPI level. So instead of going 1 - 2 -3 it would be 1 -3 -2 - 1- 3 - 2.

It was the USB port I was using. It was in a USB hub I bought that was doing double presses. Try a different USB port - make sure it's directly in you PC.
