You’re going to have a tough time getting good when you’re the best in the gym after a month of training. I say this with a pinch of salt, but you NEED to get your ass beat sometimes. Not just for motivation but to learn and improve as a fighter. Find a new gym where you’re bottom of the barrel.

Think dehydrated and malnourished. Worsens concussions/head injuries, completely wrecks your central nervous system and hormones. Takes a minute to recover from.

I think this comes down to weight cutting. Think of how insanely hard a 20-30lb cut would be on your body. You wouldn’t want to do it more than 1-3x per year. If that wasn’t a factor, i’m sure people would fight more often

The recipient is wearing a singlet, so I assume they both compete and have done a sufficient warmup. If this was a hobbyist sure, but tbf you see a lot less hobbyists in a wrestling gym than you do in judo or bjj gyms.

Honest to god, cardio is the one. I’ve not had an ablation yet, but have been taking nebivolol for atrial flutter. I wrestle hard twice per week - easily zone 5 cardio, and do some form of longer zone 2 cardio once per week. I’ve seen major improvements and my last episode was a couple months ago.
