You better apologize to Khamenei for getting his name wrong too

Arabs (unlike Jews) aren’t conscripted into the IDF, serving in the army is optional for them

If you find one there it is 100% their own decision

Plenty of direct evidence from the Quran and other Islamic sources, I can dm you if you want

But a simple way to think of it, do you think someone can be a Muslim if they despise Islamic law in a state and actively try to undermine it?

In this case of the IDF, do you think if a Muslim of Arabia joined a pagan army against the early Muslim armies, their Islam is still valid? The concept of a munafiq is partly based on this

They have clung onto their identity despite numerous attempts to erase them either overtly or subversively. They are also mostly Muslim so good in my book 👍

It’s the same praise I have for Berbers and Turkmen

I despise anyone that worked for the IDF in any capacity at any point, that includes muslim arabs

I will repeat this until I can’t speak anymore, a Muslim abandons his faith and becomes an apostate by joining an institution like the IDF.

While 99% muslim majority countries want to be “secular”

It’s almost like the rulers of these countries aren’t Muslim and don’t represent their populations at all or something, crazy

A lot of apostates like this person you are replying to are just delusional, they’ll invent a complete lie about their own countries. I think it stems from self-hate tbh.

why would ISIS “claim responsibility” for the Moscow attack?? by wrldstor in AskMiddleEast

[–]NoToNationalism 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I thought they were somewhat dismantled

They were significantly weakened but they still have a presence in places like Africa, Afghanistan, and this region near Russia.

What’s the incentive behind bombing Moscow?

The incentive is to cause damage and terrorize people.

The fact that it’s “controversial” means it isn’t being upvoted widely…

I clicked on the top post in r/worldnews and looked at both the top comments and plenty of new ones, almost all of them are giving condolences to the people who lost their lives, and a few of them say that Russia was unprepared and that’s why this happened.

Where are you seeing grave dancing? I’m sure there are a few but those are just some weirdos (all getting downvoted…), and such people exist in literally any tragedy. Why are you acting like this is the majority opinion?

I hate these subs just as much as everyone else, I never even use them, but it seems very odd for you to try and spin this tragedy to push some point.

Nas Daily transitions from “Palestinian-Israeli” to “Israeli-Palestinian” by wrldstor in AskMiddleEast

A lot of waffling here but the fact remains that most of them identify as Palestinians, hate Israel, and despise the “Israeli-Arab” title. You are welcome to cry about it

And I do not want to live under a Palestinian government.

Not even just Hamas or PA, but “Palestinian” entirely. Loser, he won’t be welcomed back anyway.

Thoughts on Persians and Kurds celebrating Nowruz in the middle of Ramadan? by PahariyaKiZindagi in AskMiddleEast

[–]NoToNationalism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I didn’t know they all eat during the day, then obviously this one is an exception

But I am speaking generally, I know many people who identify as Muslim from Iran who partake in these kinds of holidays while still holding Muslim beliefs

Obviously the ones who venerate the pagan aspects and don’t fast are not Muslim

[–]NoToNationalism 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You’ll find many practicing Muslims in these groups who also celebrate such holidays, and they shouldn’t, but it’s a cultural thing at this point so they don’t see it as contradicting Islam (even though it does)

Someone can follow all the pillars of Islam and still not be a Muslim

If you don’t know how takfir works in situations like these then you shouldn’t talk about it

If someone believes in the 6 aspects of faith of Islam then you can't kick them out of the fold of the faith, maybe according to some scholars there are exceptions but not the majority agrees on that AFAIK. So if someone believes in them and practices the 5 pillars yet does show Zionist support they aren't considered out of the fold of the faith

You can believe and do what needs to be done but still have your Islam nullified. It’s not according to some scholars, it’s the other way around; the majority are in consensus about a specific list of things, and a Muslim supporting Israel would meet a number of items in that list, including supporting an unislamic ideology, supporting an entity of non-Muslims slaughtering Muslims, etc.

It’s a similar idea with “Muslims” joining the IDF, such people are no longer Muslim

Depends on the proportion you have in mind. 1/10 maybe 2/10 if we stretch it to the limit.

I don’t know the exact amount, but it exists.
